While looking at the features of the "Freewrite" / "Hemingwrite", they almost do append-only, but they also support truncating the end -- a backspace without cursor control.

While we can default to pure append-only, it might be nice to also support truncation via backspace, like the Freewrite.

A writing project is composed of multiple files.

A series of files where the piece that changes is numeric in the filename.

A series of files where the number remains the same, but other pieces change, such as for file-specific outlines. We want the ability to pull in the outline so we need to switch between files less frequently.

It looks like truncation support may be causing the Session-based word-count to be doubled.

It gets messed up. It doesn't impact Sprint word count, but it is annoying.

This becomes useful to a broader set if we can slap it in a reasonable window and make it an app/exe for native launching.

To officially release the script, we need to break it apart so that it can be integrated in to other components and tools, and upload it to the cheese shop so that folks can easily install it.

The -story.txt and -outline.txt modes work, but when things vary too much it seems to fall apart.
