Full Documentation for Python API

Web UI

To start the web interface, type the following codes in python:

from g4f.gui import run_gui
run_gui()

or execute the following command:

python -m g4f.cli gui -port 8080 -debug

Interference API

You can use the Interference API to serve other OpenAI integrations with G4F.

See docs: /docs/interference

Configuration

Cookies

Cookies are essential for using Meta AI and Microsoft Designer to create images. Additionally, cookies are required for the Google Gemini and WhiteRabbitNeo Provider. From Bing, ensure you have the "_U" cookie, and from Google, all cookies starting with "__Secure-1PSID" are needed.

You can pass these cookies directly to the create function or set them using the set_cookies method before running G4F:

from g4f.cookies import set_cookies

set_cookies(".bing.com", {
  "_U": "cookie value"
})

set_cookies(".google.com", {
  "__Secure-1PSID": "cookie value"
})

Alternatively, you can place your .har and cookie files in the /har_and_cookies directory. To export a cookie file, use the EditThisCookie extension available on the Chrome Web Store: EditThisCookie Extension.

You can also create .har files to capture cookies. If you need further assistance, refer to the next section.

python -m g4f.cli api --debug
Read .har file: ./har_and_cookies/you.com.har
Cookies added: 10 from .you.com
Read cookie file: ./har_and_cookies/google.json
Cookies added: 16 from .google.com
Starting server... [g4f v-0.0.0] (debug)

.HAR File for OpenaiChat Provider

Generating a .HAR File

To utilize the OpenaiChat provider, a .har file is required from https://chat.openai.com/. Follow the steps below to create a valid .har file:

  1. Navigate to https://chat.openai.com/ using your preferred web browser and log in with your credentials.
  2. Access the Developer Tools in your browser. This can typically be done by right-clicking the page and selecting "Inspect," or by pressing F12 or Ctrl+Shift+I (Cmd+Option+I on a Mac).
  3. With the Developer Tools open, switch to the "Network" tab.
  4. Reload the website to capture the loading process within the Network tab.
  5. Initiate an action in the chat which can be captured in the .har file.
  6. Right-click any of the network activities listed and select "Save all as HAR with content" to export the .har file.
Storing the .HAR File
  • Place the exported .har file in the ./har_and_cookies directory if you are using Docker. Alternatively, you can store it in any preferred location within your current working directory.

Note: Ensure that your .har file is stored securely, as it may contain sensitive information.

Using Proxy

If you want to hide or change your IP address for the providers, you can set a proxy globally via an environment variable:

  • On macOS and Linux:
export G4F_PROXY="http://host:port"
  • On Windows:
set G4F_PROXY=http://host:port

gpt4free's Issues

GPL Violation

It seems that quora/api.py is an exact copy of my poe-api Python package, which is licenced under the GNU GPL v3.

The GNU GPL requires that:

  5. Conveying Modified Source Versions.

  You may convey a work based on the Program, or the modifications to
produce it from the Program, in the form of source code under the
terms of section 4, provided that you also meet all of these conditions:

    a) The work must carry prominent notices stating that you modified
    it, and giving a relevant date.

    b) The work must carry prominent notices stating that it is
    released under this License and any conditions added under section
    7. This requirement modifies the requirement in section 4 to
    "keep intact all notices".

    c) You must license the entire work, as a whole, under this
    License to anyone who comes into possession of a copy. This
    License will therefore apply, along with any applicable section 7
    additional terms, to the whole of the work, and all its parts,
    regardless of how they are packaged. This License gives no
    permission to license the work in any other way, but it does not
    invalidate such permission if you have separately received it.

    d) If the work has interactive user interfaces, each must display
    Appropriate Legal Notices; however, if the Program has interactive
    interfaces that do not display Appropriate Legal Notices, your
    work need not make them do so.

As far as I can tell, none of these requirements have been fulfilled. Currently, you are basically taking credit for my work and acting like you're responsible for all of the reverse engineering.

you.com is protected by Cloudflare firewall

which may cause it to be blocked by the firewall.
I'm thinking about whether it's possible to bypass this by specifying an IP, such as pointing to their home Twitter/Facebook nodes, or by trying to use Cloudflare Warp.

Error: No response message when running poe_test.py

Thanks to Tekky, I have successfully operated poe_test.py, but it seems no response message.
To debug, I printed all of the values of model : model.id \ model.name \ model.limit \ model.delected , the operation result is as below:

quora socket already open error!

using quora API, i can receive response for 8-10 questions to chatgpt later
a lot of error message socket already open error!, then API terminate!
i use random wait time between question and the next one, my random time is 30-60 second

 model_type = "gpt-3.5"
 token = ""

for response in quora.StreamingCompletion.create(model  = model_type,
    prompt = text1,
    token  = token):

#print(response.completion.choices[0].text, end="", flush=True)

# wait
random_time = random.randint(30, 60)
time.sleep(random_time)

for response in quora.StreamingCompletion.create(model  = model_type,
    prompt = text1,
    token  = token):

#print(response.completion.choices[0].text, end="", flush=True)

# repeat same steps with different text1 cause error after 8 text1!!

do i have to increase the wait time?
or what 's wrong?
any suggestion?

add a prompting interface | added !!

Hello Tekky! Can you provide an example of a Flask website similar to https://chat.xtekky.com/, with the GPT bot already added to the site? I'm not very familiar with Flask and would like to be able to modify the HTML/CSS to make my own website using an api. Thank you very much!

save & reuse feature for poe.com accounts

First of all, I would like to thank you for the enormous effort to maintain this repository. I think they are very good solutions for using the latest models.

I don't know to what extent this is feasible/useful, but I have seen that the limit reset that applies for the use of GPT-4 on poe.com is a few hours (I think one day).

My question is this: wouldn't it be possible to save the accounts created in some kind of β€œpool” of accounts and when the daily limit is restored use them?

In this way we would be creating fewer accounts, and we would have immediate answers because it is not necessary to create it again (I don't know the expiration time of the token).

renaming the 'poe' module folder ( to : "quora" ?)

I suggest modifying the "poe" folder in the repository because another author's repository has the same name "poe-api", and when importing it,"poe" is used. If someone installs your repository, it may cause a conflict with the "poe" library when importing it in Python.

poe not working again

  • no cloudflare ( can have security header or cloudflare tls/ssl block but not clearance)
  • gpt 4 / internet
  • can pass in conversation (more control)
  • stream response

alternative email provider with no limits

I would like to suggest a temporary mail provider that offers a free REST API. In my experience, using it in previous projects, they do not limit the number of addresses in any way (maximum 25 requests per second).
