The problem is actually NOT coming from CMake, but the Qt resource file Musec.qrc
.
While launching the program built with the wrong Musec.qrc
, it will complain that module 'Musec' is not installed. Adding the qmldir in qmlproject/imports/Musec
solves this issue.
The reason I mistakenly regard this as a problem in CMake is that CLion, the IDE I'm currently using does NOT show the error mssages printed by QML codes. (Attempt to run the CMake project using Qt Creator WILL show these error messages, but running the qmake project using Qt Creator will have no problem.) To check these messages, one must check Run in external console in the Run/Debug Configuration dialog. I don't quite know the reason, but I think the contents of the following two YouTrack issues will somewhat explain it:
- qDebug(), qCritical(), qFatal() print nothing in CLion console : CPP-6509
- No output from qDebug() macro when running in non-debug mode on Linux : CPP-3774.
The changes I commited today solved the issue. (or did it?)
