I use wildfire iconset, and I have seen the installation path through the wget / curl path does not respect https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filesystem_Hierarchy_Standard

The icon set should be installed into the /usr/local/share/icons folder, because it is not part of distribution.

It would make packaging your theme a lot easier if you could please use tags.
Adding nice ChangeLongs into the tags description.

Icedove is the Debian version of Thunderbird. Parallel to Iceweasel, would it be possible to add an icon for Icedove?

*.part files (e.g. unfinished Firefox downloads) with application/x-partial-download media type currently have the application-apk.svg/application-software.svg/application-x-pak.svg/gnome-package.svg/package.svg/package-x-generic.svg icon assigned. Ok, the icon somehow contains a loading bar, but still, the icon addresses more applications or IDE-like software instead of file fragments (which don’t have to be applications themselves).

I assume some catchall-like rule for application/* causes this, am I right?

Best scientific general purpose language, would be nice if it can get a custom icon, too!

There is the possibility, that LibreOffice documents can be embedded into a PDF document. So someone opens the PDF by default, but can alter it by opening the PDF with LibreOffice (which extracts the normal text/calculation data). For not sending out a hybrid PDF to someone, who should only receive the pure PDF, it would be great if there could be a different icon. Problem is, that the suffix is the same and therefore there has to be some other method to be implemented for checking of hybrid PDF.

The icon yumex-dnf in the Apps folder has a space before the .svg - this makes gtk.update-icon-cache throw an error.

Renaming it so that it does not have a space fixes this. And actually also fixes it so that the icon is actually shown for yumex ;)

Haskell: Currently, the icon is an ugly yellow collor with angled brackets. It immediately associates to HTML. The more standard version would be blue with a haskell logo: https://www.haskell.org/static/img/logo.png

Scala: The icon is missing. I propose a red icon with Scala logo.

I was searching for some icon themes for my system and I came across your beautiful theme (saw it from your website). I tried to download it from the AUR

A lot of the icons for the core Gnome apps no longer show up because Gnome decided to rename them.

This is causing problems in many icon-themes so I made a bash script that attempts to fix the names for the icon theme that is currently chosen in gnome. It will fix this theme and many others.

am trying to install the icons from Centos 7.4 with the updated Gnome
and I keep getting bash: /dev/fd/63: No such file or directory

Every time I reinstall wildfire after git pull, I get the following error:

mkdir: the directory „/usr/share/backgrounds/xenlism/“ could not be created: The file already exists

I think this crucial piece of information is missing. Explain more in depth what is the point of that many versions.

Moreover, I see no difference among the Day, MidNight and Night versions.

I hope all the best for this icon theme, and wishing it to become de-facto standard just like Arc theme is.
