showtime's Issues

The widget refuses to show and displaying unremovable error message

System: Ubuntu 20.04. LTS
Gnome-shell version: 3.36.9

The widget refuses to be activated, instead, it complains the gir1.2-networkmanager-1.0 is required, which doesn't even show up in the sources of the Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS. More annoyingly, it displays an error message above all windows stating that this package-missing issue, without any modal window (see the screenshot below). This error message is not even killable even the extension has been removed.

Fontsize time cannot be changed

I just installed this Gnome Extension. It suits me well, but there is one problem. I can change the font of the date, but the font of the time doesn't change.

Circle widgets: Bad positioning of widgets

Thanks for the nice work.
I have a problem running the Circle Widgets on my desktop. All the widgets are stacked on top of each other and there is no option to change the size or position of the widgets.

Wayland bug

On fedora 34, using wayland.
Each widget creates a new window rather than appear on desktop.

Position changes with screen resolution

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Configure clock widget to be centralized on a regular 1920x1080 (16:9) laptop monitor.
  2. Connect to an ultrawide 2560 x 1080 (21:9) display
  3. The widget won't be centralized on the ultrawide display.

It's not a horrible issue but it'd be nice to be able to have it always be on center.

CPU info not showing

Had this on Ubuntu 20.04 TLS: CPU usage widget was not showing because top shows the numbers with comma instead of dot on my system.
Replacing cpuusage.sh with this line works:
cat /proc/loadavg | awk '{print $1}'

Massive memory leak on latest version

It appears the latest version of The Circles has a big resource leak issue in where the widget is regenerated after moving it (and creates another widget), which eventually hangs GNOME Shell and makes it run out of memory.

This didn't happen before (you updated the widget today).

CPU widget not visible

It's on in the config, but nowhere to be found on the desktop.

Implementation request

Hi, I tried on Ubuntu 20.04 (Gnome 3.36.9) your showtime-horizontal Widget and it works fine, thanks!
Now I wanted to ask you if it is possible to add a selectable option: display a personal image (with choice of size) instead of the clock ?

Extension not loaded

OS: ArchLinux ; Gnome 3.38.3 + Wayland session. I have installed libwnck and gtk2. Thanks

The settings of extension [email protected] had an error:
