The prowl api now supports sending URLs as attachment to a message. This must be reflected in the message class.

Prowl does no longer demand SSL usage. The connector should carry a config flag for disabling it.

e.g. emergency state logging via Prowl Message.

I have just installed PHP 5.3.8 on WHS 2011 after having it previously installed on WHS v 1.

Have been using the PROWL system for some time, however I am now getting this error.

Is this due to a change in PHP or my environment and how can it be corrected ?

Prowl now supports retrieving tokens and api keys in a two step request. The connector must be extended to handle this method.

I think filter_var($sEvent, FILTER_SANITIZE_STRING) is to blame. What is the reason to use this, must the string really be sanitized?

PHP-5.2 will be bug-fixed only, PHP-5.3 is the future. Most distributions and hosting providers support 5.3 nowadays and so do we.

The filter_var seems to produce hex encoded stuff which is not decoded by the prowl XML parser - as reported in #1.

Find an alternative implementation for securing the message contents.
