*Upcoming release of TVDB API v3 & v4 affecting metadata.tvdb.com Scraper *
TVDB have indicated that planned changes to the current API will occur on the 15 July 2019. Though they state backwards compatability for legacy systems, they also state no effort has been made to maintain regex based parsing. Previous experience shows changes at TVDB break our xml scrapers.
@ScudLee has not been seen since prior to Christmas, and not responded to a few pings I have sent in that time. I think it safe to assume that both our TV Show scrapers do not have a maintainer.
How will we deal with updating the current scrapers to their upcoming API v3 and, in the coming months, to API v4?

The BUG IS THE FOLLOWING: FILE SIZED BASED RECOGNITION OF MOVIES IN FLAT FOLDER STRUCTURE WEIRD BUT TRUE!
Universal Movie Scraper Nexus 5.5.14 stopped working reading /scraping the correct film names in a Flat Folder structure with not more than 400 movies correctly names like MOVIENAME (YEAR).mkv
because og the FILE SIZE!
Yes you heard it right: The file Size.
So for example.
If i put in a fake file with around 1 GIg or less: The movie name is read correctly by Universal Movie Scraper Nexus 5.5.14
if i put in the real file with, let us say around 2.5 - 4 Gig in file size or even bigger it wont be recognized. Never! Even not manually.
The only workaround is sending the small size fake file on the server. Let it be recognized correctly and then overwrite it with the correct film and size (exact same name, as now it is already in the data base)
Please examine the bug the quickest possible with a proper workaround.

The settings page of this scraper is inaccessible in Kodi v19, v20 and v21.
I have tested the scraping on two shows and the scraping seems to work ok. But this scraper has not been maintained in over 6 years and is still using TVDB API v2.
As the settings pages are not accessible, it should be marked broken for v19 and later .
@tamland As this is your scraper, what are your thoughts? Are you still maintaining this?

I've replaced the api key with asterisks.
When the scraper is set to a language other than English, and the tv show does not have the selected translation, the scraper falls back to English. When this happens, episode titles are incorrectly scraped.

My apologises for not following the proper guidelines but I don't know where else to ask.
I've noticed 2 x machines running Gotham 13.2 are unable to scrape from TMDB.
I've downloaded the repo and replaced all add-ons in appdata\roaming\xbmc\addons with the newly amended files from this fork to no avail.
I see the latest amendment was under 3 weeks ago. Is this a known issue?

This scraper has been broken for well over a year.
@olympia and I discussed the status of the XML scrapers at length and we agreed it best to remove the scraper from the repo as olympia did not have the time to maintain it anymore. The only scraper he is interested in maintaining is UMS. It was also discussed that these XML scraper should be removed from Leia and later. This was done on 4 July 2022.
Krypton and earlier versions should still retain the scraper, otherwise those versions will no longer have a scraper, though I no longer agree with this as the scrapers are broken. No scraper, or broken scraper... no difference...
The problem...
Rather than marking the scraper as broken as is normal, olympia chose to delete the code in Leia scraper branch of Github.... https://github.com/xbmc/repo-scrapers/tree/leia
Unfortunately, this has left the scraper orphaned and still available in the repo for all branches from Leia to Nexus. (see links below)
Omega branch has an error and is making available a Gotham version of the scraper.
The fix
Delete the scraper from the mirrors.
I don't remember who can do this. Is it @enen92 ?
