This is more a question/doubt than actually a issue to be solved.

I know TV channels' logos are to be downloaded by the user him/herself or automatically using the url in m3u file, but many TV channels' logo already exists in resource.images.studio.white. Mostly because those channels produces movies and TV series, but there are logos that are only to satisfy different channels from the same TV company.

For example, there are logos for what is clearly TV channels, like Eurosport, Eurosport 1, Eurosport3, France 2, France 2 Cinema, France 3, France 3 Cinema, Fox HD, Fox 8, FX HD, many xxx-HD etc.

The question is: is it OK for me to send other icons that are channel logos rather than actually the name of a movie producer studio? For example, we have, in Brazil, the SporTV channels. They produce many videos (specially documentaries on sports), so their logo belongs here. But they have simultaneous live TV feeds in 3 channels, so 3 logos (SporTV, SporTV 2, SporTV 3). Should I create all 3 logos?

Hi! No rush, just a question... When I look into the official (?) Kodi repository, the latest version of the icon pack there seems to be 0.28. But the current icon pack version is 0.30, right?

I tried adding the icons manually, by using the kodi texture tool to pack the new stuff into Textures.xbt, the result was, that no icon at all showed up :-) (just putting the PNGS into the resources-folder of course doesn't work either).

So my questions are...

1. can you estimate, how long it takes the kodi-addons repository to update?
2. is there a place where I can download a current zip file in a way, that I can import manually in Kodi?

Hi! Current version is .32, right? https://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/matrix/resource.images.studios.white/ only contains 0.30.

Just a sub update from the previous one.

I uploaded the following logos last time as updates but the old one is still there, could you please replace them:

• Blumhouse Productions
• LifeStyle
• Lucasfilm
• NickToons
• Pixar
• Playboy TV

I have updated the "E4" logo to have a grey area to make it more obvious.

Last time I uploaded "TVNZ1" and "TVNZ2", these were trial files and can be deleted and replaced with the "TVNZ" file in this upload.

I have also added "Comedy Channel" and "The Comedy Channel (AU)" as new logos.

A couple of other questions I have:

• Is there a plan to have higher res files in the future?
• How long does it take for the updates to this resource to show in Kodi?

Hi, I'm testing some studio texture so I could send a pull request, but I'm stuck with non ASCII characters. From other files, I deduced we must convert from utf-8 to ascii. Also noticed studio names are all in lowercase letters.

That said, I could not include a logo for:
Direct texture file loading failed for resource://resource.images.studios.white/Первый канал.png

This would be the russian 'Pervyj kanal'. I tried the following file names, but no success at all:

• Первый канал.png
• Ð�еÑ�вÑ�й канал.png (convertion for utf-8)
• первый канал.png (first letter lowercase)
• пеÑ�вÑ�й канал.png (convertion for utf-8)

Can someone help me on this? I also noticed GitHub has changed some characters on this post (the ones that appears with question marks).

I couldn't figure out how to merge/submit whatever new icons for approval. Here you go should you want them.
