xbian-config-bash's Issues

Modular mixed dialog

Change the showInputForm5Dlg and showInputForm2Dlg into a modular type of dialog.

Network problem of alpha5

After installed alpha5, network seemed not work initially.

I tried to configure network both in xbian-config and xbmc, nothing worked. Both DHCP and static did not work.

In xbian-config, after I filled in static network address, exited, and open it again, it became empty. In xbmc, after I filled in, after a while, I got something like "no response code from xbian-conf".

Then I tried to exit from xbmc and returned to console, manually executed ifup eth0, and it worked. After checking /etc/network/interfaces, I found that eth0 is not automatically brought up, then after I added auto eth0, and restarted the system, everything was fine.

Bad alignment of menus with accentuated latin characters

When rendering the menu with translations that contains accentuated latin characters, as depicted in the image, the alignment of the columns fails.

xbian-config-issue

This should be caused by the size of the encoded character which is different from a regular character, and causes the failure on the alignment algorithm.

Using Portuguese translation compiled from transifex on XBian RC2.

Sed error when executing xbian-config bootflags update

When executing any of the sudo xbian-config bootflags update variants, (e.g. sudo xbian-config bootflags update quiet 1)
the following error is reported:
sed: unrecognized option '--startup-event'

My system is up-to-date.

Package management tool (cli), written in Python using python-apt

"We need an implementation of apt in python so we have more control over it's status, this can be done with the python-apt library. This script should then be CLI controllable. With the normal shell script apt-get we have hardly any control over what it's doing or why it failed."

WPA Passphrases Containing Spaces Not Handled Properly

When editing an existing WPA passphrase which contains spaces, only the first word appears in the passphrase entry box. For instance, if the passphrase is "This is a passphrase," only "This" shows up when editing the passphrase.

When entering a new passphrase which contains spaces, it is properly saved.
