vintel's Issues

Floating system watch

Allows you to keep a list of systems and their stats (jumps, active, kills, kos reports).

System update timer not correct

Just noticed it, the little update timer for the systems who are mentioned somewhere in intel is not always correct.

First of all, it only updated the timer every 3 or 4 seconds, not as expected every second, which leads to a little offset in these timers.

Example:
System A and System B got mentioned in intel, both systems are marked in the map and have a little timer, 0 sec. after a while these timers are updating to 3 or 4 seconds and so on. Some time later, both systems no longer mentioned in intel, there is an offset between both timers, System a is at 5m 15s and System B at 5m 17s.

A bit confusing.

Unset character location

For when you log off an alt not to keep receiving alarms.Could it be possible to automatically do it by parsing logs?

Sound Volume not adjustable

No matter what I set the sound volume in sound setting, volume keeps always the same ...

Plattform: Linux

Assess performance on Win32

I just tweaked the intervals for timers and threads in the app. This took it from 40-90% cpu to 4-25% utilization. Can you please do an assessment on the pc and see how we look there as far as average utilization. I'd like to make sure that the utilization is still reasonable on a different platform.

(Option) xxx KOS checks

Please make xxx KOS checks optional. It get's pretty messy from time to time getting spammed by KOS results, so I would like to have an option to disable xxx KOS checks.

Thank you

Investigate polling the clipboard

Let's see if we can do this without impacting performance a whole lot. Testing and research reveals that you cannot get clipboard change notifications sent to your app when it is in the background (on OS X at least).

Floating overview

Design:
two lists, one for chat entries, the other a rank ordered list of systems with KOS reports by number of jumps away.

No Sound on Linux

Testsound in Sound Settings doesn't work at all. No idea if sound in general works, but didn't hear anything so far.

» Linux System
» Pulseaudio
» VLC sound backend

Multiple kos report

When multi clienting on the same box sharing channels you can get multiple notifications - use a dict and a time stamp to filter those.

Highlight Systems in map when clicking in chat window

The "old" vintel was highlighting the system in the map, when I clicked at a line inside the chat window that contained the intel for said system. Would be nice to have that again. Makes the life as FC a bit easier, just click and see where it is :-)

point out system on important information?

Why cant xintel point out where a message is talking about? if that system isnt red or anything it would be blue visible for some seconds and slowly fading away into white again or something.

Lets say, Abaddon pointed g7 i7s gate

would be nice if G7 was marked on the map so you can see if there is any need to rush to that location or not.

Audio setup is hard to use

The issue is that it updates the sound with every movement of the slider so it gets really laggy. It should only actually set the sound once the user stop dragging the slider.

Profile app performance

Currently averaging 75% cpu utilization. Find out why and get it down under 50% at least.
