By using attributes we can mark a method not an event handler in the use cases where a listener is more than just a listener.

This Thruway WebSocket heartbeat broadcaster for example, while it's single responsibility is to broadcast a heartbeat every X seconds. It needs broadcaster object passed in for that, but also be notified when the service is shutting down through an event listener.
