Change app URL
The app URL needs to be changed from workato-foo to not reflect Workato (and not foo :)). A couple of options below. I'm not sure what's available so a couple of options below.
- blue-connect
- blueconnect
- blue.connect
Review issues
Hi Dima @n0mid, adding the issues I mentioned on Slack here for visibility. I have checked off the things that have been addressed. Thanks!
- The size of the app logo, name and status is too small. Can we have it larger? Font size for app name should be 18px and status should be 12px
- The size of the modal looks abit narrow, can we increase this from 500 to 600 px?
- The iframe needs to show ‘Integrations powered by Workato’ tag
- Can we remove ‘Connection name’ from the widget? Only the fields required to connect are needed. Where it says ‘Zendesk’ now, we should pull the connection name from the API. (ie. the connection is named on Workato UI and transferred to this widget)
- Small edit here — the ‘Contact blue’ button and ‘Documentation’ button on the help section is in a different font and it should have the link icon behind the text
- There should be a favicon (it’s in the latest sketch file)
Load times for connection
It seems like the connections take a long time to load even before our spinner/loading animation can be seen. At times, the screen looks like this for a few seconds after you click on each app:
If possible, can we pre-load the connection status and fields before actually clicking on the app itself? Or if needed, we can show a message that tells the user the fields are loading so that it doesn't look like an error.
Highlighted logos for menu
Feedback from Harish/Gautham — menu logos should be highlighted when they are hovered over:

BG colour of the widget should be configurable
The BG colour of the current connection page is Workato grey, we should be able to control this through OEM config. Currently, Paychex needs it to be white.
Disconnected/connected states
Currently, the apps all appear this way when connected/disconnected:
We should load the statuses (authorization_status
) when this drawer is opened (also see #2 for load times for connection) and display it in the order disconnected
> connected
.
Connected apps should also show the time connected -- the design is in the sketch file, but I changed the red colour to orange #E67009.
This happens in the current app where the connection is displayed as disconnected at first and then changes to connected when it actually loads.
