Even when I try to reset the metadata.

FB sets the retail price to the sale price and does not display as a sale product.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create and sync variable product
2. Set sale price for variations and update product
3. WooCom displays retail price with line-through style, sale price and sale icon. Facebook displays unstyled sale price only and sets retail price to sale price in catalog

In our WooCommerce the products has a property Visibility that can have one of these values:

• Catalog and Search
• Catalog
• Search
• Hidden

If a product is Hidden I think is a product to be ignored from the published products in Facebook Shop.

I am using facebook for woocommerce, it works great and does pull the data from my products to facebook shop.

i had one major problem though, facebook pulls images as they are. and facebook does not auto fit the images in the square products just because my images are not 1:1 ratio.

is there a settings for this on facebook?

the problem here is on fb feed.

I guess that's that facebook is webscrapping the e-commerce to get all the updated products.

Is that correct?

This is causing performance issues in the Mysql. Can I configure the scrapping interval? Can I configure any kind of soft-but-longuer scrapping? Can I configure the hour of the scrapping? Thanks

I followed the instructions and created the Facebook Pixel (see next image) in the correct advertising account. I try again and continue showing the previous message. The message says "Once you create your pixel, you can restart this plugin and install it on your site in this step.", But this never happens. It happens again and again.
I deleted the cache, cookies, etc. Anyway, I can not make it work.

On Woocommerce´s site says the plugin´s latest version is version is 1.4.3.
I have already installed the previous version (1.4.2) on my Woocommerce but there is no notification asking me to update to the latest version (same as it happens with all the other plugins in Wordpress).
Then i went to Woocommerce site to download the latest version and upload it manually, but it says that i cannot do that because the folder already exists.... Too bad....
What can i do? Why i dont see an update notification as it usually happens???

I was using FB for Woocommerce without any problem until today, I get this error:

Facebook for WooCommerce is almost ready. To complete your configuration, complete the setup steps.

My catalog is still on FB, but product sync is not working anymore.
I didn't change anything, it came from one day to the other. I installed the latest github release to see if something changed, and it's still the same. Also, the pixel doesn't seem to be installed anymore, I don't see it inside the source code...but somehow Facebook detects some events?
I don't want to remove the connection as FB tells me I will have to do my ads again...Please help!

First of all thanks for the great plugin. This is a really nice add-on to market Woocommerce shops. I have some minor feedback for improvement that I would like to share:

• When using Woocommerce with the WPML multilingual plugin, translated products are synced twice: both in the original language and in the translated language (See https://wpml.org/forums/topic/facebook-for-woocommerce-extension-products-displaying-twice/)

• It would be great if the plugin could offer an option to only sync products to Facebook that are currently in stock.

• At the moment the plugin offers the option to manually choose which products to show on Facebook. It would be really convenient if it would be possible to edit this option for multiple products in one go, using quick edit mode

when I follow the link in backend 'Created product item 1234567890 on Facebook.' then I see, that the plugin submitted the attribute slug instead of the attribute name.
For example:
I have a T-Shirt from a certain brand in 3 sizes. I have size attributes setup for that specific brand. The names of the attributes is Small (S), Medium (M), Large (L) the slugs for those are brandX-small, brandX-medium, brandX-large.
When I view this product on www.facebook.com/commerce/products/1234567890/ it displays e.g. 'brandX-small' in the variations drop down instead of 'Small (S)'
In the Productdetails area below the dropdown it displays the product title and the selected variation and here it is correctly displayed using the attribute name as e.g. 'Small (S)'

Customer is looking to sell products on their Facebook page but is wanting to not have the redirect to checkout

Is there any way we can amend this to send the customer to the product page rather than straight to checkout please ?

Would this be possible in a future release to have settings to change the Check Out on Website button / link to either "Continue shopping" or "Browse more on our site" or similar?

The Facebook shop is showing some of my products with a sale price, but the original product on Woocommerce has no discount, it just has the original price. Why FB shop adds some discount on it? Its really strange...

Summary

When syncing products that have a future sale defined, I've found that the products that are made available on the Facebook page are the sale price that is not in effect yet. I double confirmed that this is an issue by looking at the same product in the WooCommerce product page and can see that the price is the normal retail price.

The Proposed Fix

Looking through the code, it seems that the plugin is only checking to see if the sale price is more than 0, which is only half of the checks that need to happen--

WooCommerce has another Product property called is_on_sale (https://docs.woocommerce.com/wc-apidocs/source-class-WC_Product.html#1402-1423) which is a boolean that should act as the primary condition for determining if the sale price should be used or not.

I have one problem and don't know how to fix it and if it's possible to do that.
I am happy about the plugin but there is one problem:
I am using qTranslate plugin for multilanguage site and when I sync my products to FB shop, the title is shown like this "[:lt]The Bluebeards Revenge skutimosi kremas 20 ml[:en]The Bluebeards Revenge Shaving Cream 20 ml[:]" because qTranslate creates two pages and shows the one which language is set.

Is there any way to make it show only in Lithuanian?

Btw, description also shows in both languages but without [:] signs and I can change description manually in product's editing page.

The Facebook plugin is generating the following error:

my whole store is sync, i often perform a force sync weekly to ensure it is kept upto date, however im noticing the only products that update are the once done manually,

for example. if i change my pricing via bulk editor for example or bulk plugin facebook doesnt update.

Is there a way to import categories from my WooCommerce shop into Facebook? Because now all my products are imported in Facebook but i have over a thousand products so it's impossible to navigate through this, and there is no search bar on the mobile version. I saw that we can create a collection but i add products everyday so it would be too complicated.

it seems an error is caused on many shop pages. These were picked up by Google Webmaster Tool so this is not just a manually created link.

Is this a known issue and is there a fix for this?

The add to cart pixel is only fired when a user visits the cart page and woocommerce_after_cart is triggered. This misses the event on the single product page. It's also possible that a user might go straight to checkout (or be redirected straight to checkout) and so you'd miss the add to cart action all together.

Hello! Would it be possible to avoid including out of stock products in the sync?

We have seasonal products that once they're out of stock, will never be in stock again but we still need to have them in our catalog for historic data.

i'm having issues importing variable products.

For any variable product with variation attribute (type Select) set to "any" its values are not imported. On fb store the attribute does not display any values.

Attributes and values are all defined globally, at attributes management page.

Gallery images aren't imported too

Not expecting you to support every plugin out there but products imported via WP All Import never sync. Haven't tested with the new WooThemes import functionality yet.

On Google Chrome we saw error in the console which start execution and never stop until page goes to not responding
Error is : Resource interpreted as Document but transferred with MIME type image/gif: “https://www.facebook.com/tr/”

I have a problem, my product variation showing the slug.

Cause I use a multi-language website.

Example Boots pink colour size 9, it showing the size as "9-en"

I just wan to see what i wrote in variation not the slyg.

When I click on the Get Started button I get routed to Facebook and the page says

“Sorry, something went wrong.
We are working on it and we'll get it fixed as soon as we can.”

It has been the same error for the last two days on a clean install, any ideas?

Single and double quotes display literal escape slash in Facebook description.

Steps to reproduce:

2. Use single or double quotes, apostrophes in FB description box
   It's a new, totally "amazing" product
3. Update product
4. FB shop displays:

Regarding the Facebook for WooCommerce WordPress plugin, it is causing a W3 validation error because it is inserting an <img> element into the head of the document.

I am using this plugin with paid campaign but I am facing a lot of site speed issues because my site requests increased. This plugin adds 10, 12 live requests due to these live requests my server response time increased as well as load time and page size increased. Due to this, our clients complain us about our site speed in most countries site load time greater than 15sec.
I have tested my site on different hosting server. We have VPS only for this site but all in vain. Currently, we have uploaded our site into cloud server but getting same results.

The plugin is not working anymore. It's all configured but my products are gone at my Facebook page, tried to reconnect and deleted it all but none of it worked.

The pixel doesn't seem to fire after an item has been added to the cart asynchronously from the archive pages.

Not sure why the save settings button is hidden when in debug mode.

Unfortunately, this hides the save settings button for all Woocommerce applications until Facebook for Woocommerce is deactivated. If the intention is to hide only for Facebook for WooCommerce, it should probably be handled differently.

Current behavior hides the save settings in all WooCommerce admin and my payment gateways...

Many developers use Composer to keep track of plugins and plugin versions. Please add a composer.json file to the project so those that use the WordPress composer set up can keep the plugin updated.

type is important to have, so that composer installs the files into the plugins folder.

A couple of days ago, the plugin stopped working and prompted me with "Facebook for WooCommerce is almost ready. To complete your configuration, complete the setup steps". Apologies, but I don't remember the previous version of the plugin I was using (maybe 1.4.3??). However, I made no changes or updates to the site and all was working well and products were feeding successfully to FB until this message in the dashboard. When I clicked the link, after a couple of seconds, it would error with only a message that "we are working to fix the problem". I decided not to pursue that error as the 1.5.1 update showed as available and I thought that perhaps the update would rectify the problem.

Attempting to update the plugin through the normal Wordpress facility failed and stated that the package was not available. After reading issue #23 where it stated, "Don't worry, your data and connection with facebook is still saved in the backend.", I elected to deactivate, uninstall the old plugin, and upload version 1.5.1. Install and activation went fine, however, I am now prompted with, "Facebook for WooCommerce is almost ready. To complete your configuration, complete the setup steps". When I follow the link in the message box, it sends me to the Facebook for Woocommerce welcome page as if I never had it configured and working previously. If I try to select the existing page, I am warned that I have to disconnect from the existing or add it to a new page to continue.

I really don't want to restart this as it took awhile for FB to approve the listings and has delayed our FB release already and this will delay things further. Any guidance is greatly appreciated, especially since I don't want to have this happen in the future when the FB page is live.

I'm running WP version 4.8.1 and Woocommerce Version 3.1.2 with the Boutique child theme of Storefront.

Setting up woocommerce to enter prices without taxes and display prices in the shop with taxes included,

in products on offer, Facebook shows the discounted price with tax included (sale price + tax) as the normal price (regular price) and the discounted price without taxes (sale price) as the final total price.

Test on Woocommerce v3.1.2, Facebook for Woocommerce v1.4.3.
