Mini-Project: Amsterdam House Price Analysis with Decision Tree Variations and SGD Linear Regression

Here we work with the data set "Amsterdam House Price Prediction" from Kaggle (https://www.kaggle.com/datasets/thomasnibb/amsterdam-house-price-prediction).

The overarching goal is to create a model that predicts the market price of houses based on the information we get from the aforementioned dataset.

The dataset contains:

  • address
  • zip-code
  • price
  • space
  • room count
  • lat/lon coordinates

of 924 houses within the amsterdam region. Price will be our target to predict and we will focus on the zip-code, space and room count as our predictors

Files


  • HousingPrices-Amsterdam-August-2021.csv : containes data from kaggle for house pricing
  • georef-netherlands-postcode-pc4_simple.geojson : contrains coordinates for plotting
