Hey there, i'd like to ask if you could add the possibility to switch the mirroring off to make this useful during daytime?

There is also no open-source speedometer on FDroid that offers a full-windowed display of the current speed (which yours does), so this would be handy to have.

If it is just a minor change in the code to disable the mirrored view, it would be great to point me in the right direction and i'll would compile it myself.

Have you ever thought of making HUD an OsmAnd plugin (http://osmand.net and https://github.com/osmandapp/Osmand) ?

OsmAnd would take care of all the location and navigation stuff, while HUD would simply take care of reversing the display.

This way, anyone with a phablet/small tablet on the dashboard could have the equivalent of a luxury car HUD with many times less the cost ! :-)
It would still be most useable at night, but it's a start anyway.

Can we please select the units the speed is displayed in?
I would like UK miles per hour, others would probably like to select different units.
