ngsi-browser-widget's Introduction

NGSI Browser widget

The NGSI Browser widget allows you to browser Orion Context Broker servers in a easy and paginated way. This is done using the queryContext, so updates made into the context broker are not reflected immediately when using this widget.

Latest version of this widget is available in this github repositories where you can make use of it on the Mashup portal. Remember to take a look into the example mashups provided in the OrionStarterKit offering.

Build

Be sure to have installed Node.js. For example, you can install it on Ubuntu and Debian running the following commands:

curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup | sudo bash -
sudo apt-get install nodejs
sudo apt-get install npm

Install other npm dependencies by running:

npm install

For build the widget you need download grunt:

sudo npm install -g grunt-cli

And now, you can use grunt:

grunt

If everything goes well, you will find a wgt file in the dist folder.

Documentation

Documentation about how to use this widget is available on the User Guide. Anyway, you can find general information about how to use widgets on the WireCloud's User Guide available on Read the Docs.

ngsi-browser-widget's Issues

Updates are never received

Hi,

First of all, thank you for providing this widget.

I am wondering if updates are received when using this widget.
In the initial page of your repository says: "so updates made into the context broker are not reflected immediately when using this widget."

I'm testing this widget but updates are never received. Only when I refresh the browser (F5) or apply ordering by some attribute, new data are received.

By the way, in the User Guide (https://github.com/wirecloud-fiware/ngsi-browser-widget/blob/develop/src/doc/userguide.md) you mention a parameter that it's not available in my case:

NGSI proxy URL: URL of the Orion Context Broker proxy to use for receiving notifications about changes.

I have used other widget where this attribute exists (Map viewer widget) and it is used for subscriptions. I don't know if it has some relation with the previous question.

Kind regards,
Daniel.

Broken links to the ngsi-browser-widget

There is a broken link in the documentation of the NGSI browser widget when we Click the link FIWARE Lab. It goes to the URL:
https://store.lab.fiware.org/search/keyword/OrionStarterKit
and the content that it is shown is

{"error":"Path not found"}

Currently, I am using the version 2.0.1.

Expected behavior: when we Click the link Fiware Lab it should take us to ngsi-browser-widget in Fiware Store to below URL:
https://store.lab.fiware.org/search/keyword/ngsi-browser-widget.
