I don't know if the included widescreen patch is part of BetterWW or not, because a creator isn't listed. That said, I consistently get this error:

" The file provided doesn't appear to be a vanilla US copy of The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker.
You can ignore this and build the new ISO anyway, but there's a fairly
good chance you'll run into problems."

Thing is, it IS a vanilla US copy. I've tried both an rvz and an rvz converted to iso through Dolphin.

it seems I have encountered some kind of bug while playing, which locks me on Windfall island.

The boat does not recognize that I have the fast sail already and does not allow me to keep going. I also don't have to option to buy the normal sail.

I wonder if this is a recurring bug or maybe just a problem with my game.

The NTSC version only has English as a supported language, while the PAL version supports several European languages. It would be nice to be able to use these enhancements and not be forced to use the English version of the game.

I noticed bomb plants don't actually work to spawn tingle chests. I know this works in ww hd, but it seems like only bombs from the players inventory work instead of all bombs. You can test this by throwing the bomb in the forbidden woods at the spot the tingle statue appears. The bomb plant bombs won't spawn it.

I used clean ISO (MD5 matches: d8e4d45af2032a081a0f446384e9261b).
Works fine with Dolphin emulator, but on GameCube with GC Loader I get a black screen after Dolby logo.

I also use GCvideo HDMI adapter with my cube, if that makes any difference.

I've run the ISO patcher on several USA ISO's (both Nkit and full-size ISOs), so far the game seems to be working but the ISO file size has become really small (~446mb) afterwards compared to the original. Is this normal?

The beta 1.10 version of wwrando includes an option to flip the compass's West/East directions. This has the effect of pointing in the direction the player is sailing, as opposed to pointing in the direction of North. Would be nice to have this in betterww as well.

Using python 3.9 and PySide2-5.11.2 I couldn't run the program from source. (I got an error "TypeError: 'Shiboken.ObjectType' object is not iterable")
This was solved by installing PySide2-5.15.2.1.

I love what you have done with BetterWW, but is it possible that you could introduce the option to not mod the sail? I would like to keep the sailing mechanics as it is in the vanilla game. If you are unwilling to do so, could you at least point me in the direction so that I can modify betterww myself to do so?

Would it be possible to start with the default sail and buy the swift sail at the auction house like hd?

it seems the current UI only allows to select one of the modified sails. It would be nice to have to option to deselect them and used the classic sail from the original game for speed running purposes :)

Currently you can only override one or the other. I'd like to be able to do both for second-quest playthroughs without having to make a separate ROM.

I'd like to use this alongside the randomizer (more specifically the custom d-pad thing) but it doesn't work.

An option to use the R bumper for some of the functions of the A button.

I patched my ISO and it appears to be too small.

My iso = 1.5GB
Patched iso = 457mb

When I load my save with this patched iso in dolphin, I receive a "Game Disc Could not be Read Error". If I load my save into the unpatched iso it works fine.

This is one of the only glitches I've found and I've had crashing issues but they may be unrelated as I was trying to apply quite a few mods but this is the one is definitely caused by BetterWW as this is an unmodified iso made using it

When I try to add better wind Waker to my Dolphin Emulator app, I get a message saying it can't find a compatible file type. I went through different layers of folders, to find the game file, and it didn't work.

I'm only at dragon roost island if progress through the game matters.

Currently the feature only works for brand new saves, but sometimes you might switch to a modded ISO partway through the game. I dunno how exactly it works or how different it is for existing saves, but it would be useful to have this feature for those as well.

By the way, I also tried copying a save but it doesn't count it as brand new so the sea chart isn't updated.

I am unable to get the Ice and Fire arrows from the Queen of Fairies. I went in the place where the fairy should be and the dialogue ended without me getting the items. I tried going out and coming back and the dialogue never happened again. I need help here as I already saved.

The ww randomizer has a 32 bits version, can you make a 32 bits for this patch too?

Wind Waker HD simplifies the triforce quest by only requiring three of the shards to be obtained via chart translation. (Which ones specifically I'm not entirely sure, it's been a while since I played WWHD)

It also unlocks player movement while in first-person (C-up, using a bow, hookshot or grappling hook).

Magic Armor is buffed by using rupees per hit instead of magic, and can be used while sailing.

Just did a recent playthrough of Wind Waker using this mod and upon reaching Ganon's Tower the trials were already finished. Is this intentional or is there some option to toggle whether you have to do the trials or not?

Just a quick one, but there's an "update" to the texture pack that was suggested in the readme. Includes alternate builds (such as for some Android Dolphin users) and some small additions. Perhaps link to this one instead?
