Ray Tracer

A ray-tracing based rendering application.

Getting Started

  1. Project_3 >> Project_3.exe
  2. Provide the path to a scene file, such as SampleScenes/myScene02.ray
  3. Type no for the following two prompt.
  4. Done!

Features

  • Support pixel level parallelism using OpenMP
  • Support simple version of soft shadow and bump mapping (demostrated in myScene01.ray)
  • Accelarated by spatial data structure: hierarchical bounding volumes
  • Immediate mode GUI help you switch between scenes and see the rendering time
