Ending定律也称为终结者定律,它是Ending在2016年Emscripten技术交流会上给出的断言:一切可编译为WebAssembly的,终将会被编译为WebAssembly。

ending's law 历史

现在的Ending's law是第二版。
第一版是Ending在2015年底用Emscripten把公司一个C++写的3D产品转成js进而网页化的时候,感叹于asm.js为广大C系程序员在Web时代提供了活路,就说了句:但凡可以被编译到asm.js的C++程序最终一定都会被编译到asm.js。

然后2016年有了WebAssembly的影子,当时立刻感觉到这套虚拟机规范完全就是吸星大法。于是就提出了现在大家看到的Ending's law第二版。
