The project "White Cane" is purposed on enhancing the independence of blind people while using the public bus. Our project uses RFID technologies which interacts with our application on the user's phone. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we couldn't made it to actually develop a functioning device, but we managed to make our protype of the application design. This Github page contains prototype of the application design. We used HTML, CSS and JavaScirpt to prototype our design.

White cane is an international symbol of blindness. It is because white cane is used by people who are blind for scanning obstacles or signs nearby. White cane is not only an essential tool for daily living but a trustworthy friend for people who are blind. We hoped our project to be a digital white cane for blind people using public buses.

Since our project is purposed for blind people, we had to design our application more user-friendly. We applied the followings to our design.

1. Stronger contrast
2. Bigger text size
3. Simpler menu
4. Bigger icon size

We also asked for feedbacks from 'Incheon Welfare Center for the Blind' to improve our UX. Feedbacks from real users helped us make our application more user-friendly. Based on the given feedbacks, change in color contrast, text size has been made.
