Based on the naming convention mentioned in the specifications updating the existing discipline IDs and also remove "-" in the discipline IDs.
eg: In case of phy-sc it has to be changed as physc.

Since all the lab IDs do not follow a consistent naming convention, it was decided that they need to be modified based on a set convention of : discipline acronym followed numerical digits in an ascending order.

The lab IDs which we have given to many labs (10-15) are from the sheet provided by the systems team and not matching with the IDs given by the institutes in the Phase II sheet. We need map all the Ids and make it consistent across all sources.

2 more issues would arise out of this exercise :

1. IDs of labs ported to open Edx also needs to be changed. This could change the hosted URLs which would have to be again updated in the labspecs for LDS database.

2. The usage and feedback services are also using the existing lab IDs based on which they are fetching the numbers, modifying the lab IDs would affect this as well. Feedback and analytics services also would have to be fed with the modified lab IDs.
