Steps to reproduce:

• Click on a creator name in item detail from Home tab
• User is taken to Search tab
• Click on Home tab

Expected:
Home page is shown

Actual:
Nothing happens

Hello developer, i have some problems when trying to download any file on kafka , it just keeps failing after 1 min or so , could you solve this problem ?

Allow users to see text, audio, or both types of content. This can be implemented in search filters (for search screen only) or in profile menu for the whole app.

Would you consider publishing this app on F-Droid please?

The files under an item need to be filtered before passing the player. Currently, it uses distinct() on file names. So if there are multiple files by the same name, it only plays first.

Downloaded files can still be present on disc after the user re-installs the app. Check for the URI and use it instead of downloading again. Right now the app re-downloads if it can't find the URI in database.

Downloading PDFs, especially large ones, is a huge bottleneck in Kafka's user experience. We can use an embedded reader like that from Google doc or even archive.org's own PDF viewer.

Most embedded readers will limit our control over the reading experience. Archive reader allows options to set page number and single page attributes but it's not full screen immersive experience. Overall, it's still a win in my opinion if users don't have to wait a few minutes (or sometime hours) to open a PDF.
