qogir-theme's Issues

Minimize - Maximize - Close buttons not visible

Hello Vince,
I've installed this theme with the command "sudo ./Install_with_background_img"
The themes were installed into /usr/share/themes

Unfortunately, the Minimize, Maximize, Close buttons are not visible with any of Qogir themes. I usually keep these buttons on the right of the window. The buttons are still there, If I click the top right corner I can close the windows. But none of them are visible... I'll attach a screenshot.

Visual Studio Code Pull down menu "light" although dark theme selected

Hello Vince,

I use XFCE4 with your qogir-dark theme. In Visual Studio code the main menu "File... Edit..." opens with bright background instead of dark background. The VS Code themes only seem to affect the "inside" of the code window, so I suppose it comes from the theme.

Thanks & regards
Peter

Improve HiDPI support

The interface scales really badly when you increase the font size. Other UI elements should scale with the fonts. See the Adapta theme to see how it works.

This is how it currently looks when increasing the font size:

Theme broken after update

Hi,
I have the following setup Ubuntu 18.04 with Gnome shell version 3.28.3. I am using this theme over a year now, but I didn't update since January I think. Yesterday I updated to the current version and on my pc, the theme is completely broken now.. and i cant even downgrade because the Install script wrote on top of my old version and I couldnt find online a list of previous versions..

1º - The close, maximize and minimize don't show up. The buttons are there but invisible.

Screenshot from 2019-03-20 17-37-07

2º - CheckBoxes and bullets on Forms dont show up either..

3º - The gnome shell got all screwed up also

Screenshot from 2019-03-20 17-39-32

4º - On the README you refere to a "-m, --menu | appmenu button variant(s) (standard/gnome)" option but in the Install script there isn't any. Is this related to the issues?

Please help, this is the most awsome theme and I dont want to switch.
Using my computer is currently a pain without Qogir Theme!

Close Button is clipped on Hover

As seen in the following screen shot the close button is clipped when hovering over it.

Currently using Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon.

Introduce Makefile

Makefile should be introduced so that the theme could be packaged and shipped as part of Ubuntu Budgie 19.04 or other distros that want to have it as part of their offer.

Strange scrollbar in XFCE 4.12 in Geany

Hi,

first of all thanks for your great work. I love this theme!

I'm facing a weird issue in Geany (V. 1.33) and Xubuntu 18.04.2.

The scrollbar of the main edit window gets duplicated or looks like in the 80ies Arcade Game "Worm".

When I use the PgUp/Down the scrollbar shows up multiple times (and shaded. If I scroll with arrow keys it gets a fade out look.

Tested with mouspad editor. There the scrollbar looks ok.

Screenies: https://paste.pics/eeb9c7d4a029d8a35ce4c4b5dd0c92c5
and https://paste.pics/a378088871256842838aa2e6d4f5e2c3

nothing serious but strange...

Small space above tab in Firefox

Hello,

I like your theme. Thank you for give the choice of using big square buttons, because I hate the small buttons, it is hard to click.

But I have a small issue: using Firefox, there is a small space above the tab. Look above the thin blue line in tab:

space_above_tab

It is small but annoying. When you have some time, can you try to fix this issue ?

Best regards.

Date/Clock color switches to blue on click

Arch Linux
Gnome 3.32

Using Shell Qogir-gnome-dark installed via gnome-look.

When logging in, Date and Clock are correct white color. Once clicked on, it turns blue. See image:

Love the theme! Didn't have this issue prior to upgrade to 3.32

Thanks!

Ubuntu 19.04 GNOME Control Center header

GNOME devs decided to revert/change the styling of GNOME Control Center again. I'm guessing that now GNOME 3.32 is in frozen state, this means the styling will not change again (hopefully)

So you can see the white bar with the latest git master

Ubuntu 19.04 - the new GNOME Control Center version popped into the release channel yesterday.

Make screenshots out of git

The screenshots are extra components which aren't necessary for the theme to work, these adds extra data to the .zip download. It should stay out of the git I think

Anyway, thanks for the works you're doing on themes.

Raven bug in Budgie

Hi, there's a padding or image bug at Raven under Budgie 10.4 on Solus 3.999.
Any solution or is it already known?

Another question: Is there a way to recolor the Budgie panel?

Functionality for Mountain icon

Hi @vinceliuice ,

Would it be possible to add some functionality to mountain icon and how can it be replaced? It would be good to add some dropdown if it is possible or something similar.

No border with popup menu at menubar. Without compton not useable.

Hi vinceliuice.
First I would like to thank you for that wonderful theme. It's the first theme I really enjoy it.
Unfortunately your last update 3 days ago comes with no border around the popup menu at the menubar anymore. Without compton it doesn't make sense.

2018-12-28

Is there a way to get the border back again?
Cheers

Just showing you a theme I made from Qogir-dark

This is not done nor is it a guarantee it will stay like this but I have gone about as far as I can with it. I was just trying to learn. If you wanted to take this this and go further with it you could or not it doesn't matter.

The nautilus background does not show. Is there a final step that we are supposed to do? I reset the OS with no change, tried out other Qogir theme variations that also did not display the background. On a side note I accidentally used the --square option and want to revert back to non square.

titlebar contrast issue - cinnamon

This issue is about lack of contrast on the titlebar buttons when using the qogir-light, on hover (the red background on the close button doesn't suffer from this issue, just the ones from maximize and minimize).
There are some applications that use the dark variant of the theme even if you are using the light one, this is the case for the image viewer or the media player for example. What happens is that the hover background color kinda thinks the titlebar is still white and uses the same colors from a white bar, which doesn't work properly on a darker bar. I think this is a issue with the metacity theme who is responsible for this titlebar.
Tested on linux mint cinnamon 19.
If you could do something about it 😃

Close window via click on the very top right corner

Using gnome-session-flashback, maximized windows have the close button at the very top right corner of the screen.

As stated in the title, I would like to be able to close a window by clicking on this very top right corner. Unfortunately, this does not work consistently, sometimes it works (and the "X" has a red hover effect), sometimes it does not.

If you position the cursor at the top right corner of the screen and move the mouse again in the top right direction, the hover effect and, accordingly, the close effect changes randomly.

Budgie Raven is huge when over 100% volume bar requested

ubuntu budgie - new development bionic running - oracle vm virtualbox 1_121

Using Ubuntu Budgie 18.10/19.04 but would equally apply with an up-to-date Manjaro Budgie or Solus Budgie (does not apply to Ubuntu Budgie 18.04 unless you are running with the UB backports PPA)

If you remove the calendar widget from raven and tick the over 100% volume setting in budgie-desktop-settings - Raven ... then logout and login, raven is shown as above.

Upstream budgie desktop keep closing bug reports such as this via a "use a recognised compatible theme such as Plata"

Plata styles this slider bar that has a tick mark using https://gitlab.com/tista500/plata-theme/blob/master/src/gtk/sass/common/_3rd-party.scss#L868

Transparency for the taskbar

Is it possible to turn on/off transparency? Budgie Settings already has an option to turn on transparency when necessary so it would be good to have it turned off by default so that the users could switch as they wish.

Version with thicker (larger) header bar

All Arc based themes are some kind of compact version of Materia based themes. Personally, I prefer Materia standard header bar size.
Would you consider to add version with Materia like size of header bar?

Metacity windows buttons are not squared

Minimize, maximize and close button stays rounded even if you specify -s option when install.

Looks like this option is not supported for metacity wm.

is it possible to fix?

XFWM "Win" - Title buttons +1

While I typed this issue: I read that they aren't available for XFWM.

So I want to vote "+1" for anybody else who'd like to have them ;)

Thanks for your awesome theme!!!

GTK warning Theme parsing error

hello,

I use Qogir-light and when I want to launch the application flameshot I have this message:

the flameshot creator tells me it's a problem with my theme and not the app : flameshot-org/flameshot#280 (comment)

How do I install on Ubuntu+LXDE?

Hi

This theme looks super nice. I'm new to Linux, but was wondering if I could install this on my machine? It's an old mac mini with Ubuntu 18.04 and LXDE (for slower hardware). Where should I look for tutorials?

Kind regards

Filezilla looks like windows95

Hi,

I must admit this is fast becoming my new favorite theme. Absolutely love it. However some apps are not loving it at all. Filezilla being one of them. When I apply the default Solus adapta theme or even the arc theme, filezilla looks great, but with the Qogir theme it like throwback win95 - lol

Firefox titlebuttons not centered

Hi vinceliuice, really great job with the theme. Square variant has become my go to theme. But there is a small issue that just keeps on bothering me. The title buttons in Firefox are not centered
screenshot from 2019-02-04 18-59-30
Close button is slightly centered slightly to the right and minimize button is centered slightly to the left.

Dark XFCE menus for Qogir

Is it possible to make a variant with dark XFCE's panel popups and whiskermenu for use with Qogir and Qogir Light (like in the attached mockup)?
