I am not sure if this is a bug that can go away with an update or if this is a bug in Gnome/GTK as this issue is reproducible on every theme except Adwaita.

Hello! I really loved the theme, especially the square versions, my only complaint, however, is with the little art of wallpaper that appears in the upper corner in the file manager.
In a next update, could a version come without the art of wallpaper?
if the background color is white in the network selection pop-up window,shouldn't this color be the same as the default gray color ?

I use mate in FreeBSD.
The install script use option which is "-u" in cp, but bsd don't have the option
Your work is simply beautiful. However, being a exclusive KDE user I could not use it. I know Gnome is in trend now but QT needs less code maintenmace as they don't tend to chnage things often.

Hello! First of all, thank you for the excellent theme! It's certainly the best gtk & gnome theme I've ever stumbled across. That being said, I've noticed a bit of an oddity!
I've recently started using the GSConnect shell extension and when coupled with Canta, the entry in the User Menu looks really strange and is unusable as some of the icons appear off screen. The User Menu entry for the plugin appears fine with a default theme and when I move the extension to the Panel, it renders correctly with Canta.

when I try ./install.sh -d "${pkgdir}/usr/share/themes" , everything is ok.
but if i add -b such as ./install.sh -b -d "${pkgdir}/usr/share/themes" or ./install.sh -d "${pkgdir}/usr/share/themes" -b, the -d "${pkgdir}/usr/share/themes" is invalid, because makepkg reports something like
rm: 无法删除'/usr/share/themes/Canta/metacity-1/build/Canta-square/metacity-1/build/Canta-compact/metacity-1/shade_unfocused_pressed.png': 权限不够

When I go to the root with nautilus, I see this
Though I am fond of it, I think the picture in the background of Files, that overlaps the window borders should be changed to something more relevant. Don't get me wrong; I think it looks good and it's something I've always wanted to see, but the current image is just a couple of miscellaneous shapes that actually get in the way of visibility. Maybe something that was more subdued and more relevant to the app e.g. file and folder icons, or an OS logo. Otherwise, great work!

But when i use this theme, "appmenu" use a lot of cpu (about 20-30%) and when i right click on icons in "plank", background color stuck on hovering.

Lovely theme. I noticed a small qurik. In the attached screenshot you can see a gap in the window decorations where the wallpaper is visible.

To install the Canta icons I have to change the folder to .../src/icons and execute install.sh.
Wouldn't it be more comfortable (and logical) if the installation script of the theme asked if we want to install and activate the icons of this theme?

I really like this design however it doesn't show.
I am using nautilus.
Overall I'm really pleased with this theme, but one thing really annoys me: As Xfce mostly uses its own Xfwm instead of gtk (please correct me if I'm wrong but e.g. Nautilus works just fine) I have got to use another theme's window decorations, which is a bit ugly if you ask me. Soo it'd be great if you could add support to that or maybe even just tell me where the window-decoration-specific "code" or whatever is and I try to do it myself. Currently I'm too stupid to find this just by looking at the source with barely a clue of how it works.
First of all, good job creating this theme. I really like how the screenshots look like.
However, I can't manage to make the theme work on my environment:

On-screen keyboard keys are too big on GNOME 3.28, it doesn't show the entire keyboard UI.
In the README, it says that the script would be Canta-theme/src/icons/install.sh while in reality it's called Canta-theme/src/icons/installer.sh. I think it'd be better to rename the file because of consistency.
The weather condition icons on Openweather extension are blurie.

Unfortunately this repo doesn't have the commit history for Materia, but one could make a diff between what is currently in this repo and Materia at the commit it was forked at, then apply that diff on top of the current Materia code, then commit THAT diff to this repo...
Items without icon: Wifi, Background, Region & Language, Universal Access.
There is a spacing issue in menus like power button, right click menu. Also, the white line looks odd.
If you open ubuntu software tool with dark-theme, the page is having white background with white text.
Spacing issue with tabs, folder path - If you open "software and update" the tabs are not spaced properly.

Unselected items in app menus and window menus are unreadable with canta-dark shell theme and the other dark sell themes too.
Canta-light and Canta-dark not exists anymore with this install.sh
install.sh has several options to change the installation path, etc... but Install_with_background_imgdoesn't pass any option when it calls to install.sh:

I think it would be simpler, if you want to keep the option to install the background image of Nautilus, to create an extra option in the main script (install.sh) for that and delete this secondary script.
Hi, this is a great theme, thanks for your work. Just noticed that the activities button on the gnome shell top panel in Canta/Canta-compact is black, which is invisible due to the black background. It probably should be white, like in Canta-dark/Canta-dark-compact.
This is a recommendation. It will be good to have the gtk version supported listed on README. I am on Ubuntu 16.04, stuck with gtk 2.18 which obviously doesn't work with your theme. Really love it but too new for my old OS.

I'm using Firefox on Ubuntu 16.04 (gnome-shell version 3.20.4) and checkboxes are displayed as pink square.
I took a screenshot of the bootstrap website
I tried to switch back to Adwaita and the problem disappear.
Then I switched again to Canta, emptied browser cache, opened a new tab and the problem appeared again.

I'd like to know if it's a problem or it's a normal behaviour not to see the Canta theme in Window Manager settings. I believe not because screenshots show nice borders.
I am using Xubuntu 16.04.5 and I can only choose the Appearance, but no Window Manager. When installing I had plenty of error messages:

The background image is not showing. It was installed by the 10.01 release with the ./install.sh -b command. Nautilus ver 3.28.1-1.1
