VIDEGROs Ships is an Android application which allows you to receive AIS information directly from ships in your neighbourhood using a cheap DVB-T-DAB-FM / RTL-SDR receiver.
Just wanted to let you know, thanks for the app. I will probably test it in a few months because now its winter here and I'm not planning to go to the seaside, but I like the concept of it! Maybe it would be cool if you also explained on the blog the steps on how to connect OpenCPN to your app.
I have a really poor RTL SDR (ppm is -334), so I can't use the compiled version on Google Play - inputting the ppm value manually doesn't work, as it's outside the allowed boundaries. Therefore I wanted to compile my own, but it seems that the specific versions of rtl-sdr and rtl-ais aren't available (anymore?).
The newest version of rtl-sdr doesn't contain rtl-sdr-android.c, which is listed in CMakeLists.txt.
Can you share the specific version you have of those libraries?
(Alternatively, compile with ppm limits -1000/1000 and push that version to Google Play)
My receiver is working fine for local area, but i'm getting a flood of inputs from an area in China, I'm located in Greece. all the inputs the source is listed as cloud. but in the settings the "repeat from cloud" in not checked. in fact i have all boxes under the repeter settings un-checked. all vessels appear to be in same general area, 32 lat 118 long. first few days i used the app I didn't have this issue, it started today. let me know if you require more info. since I only installed this 4 days ago i'm assuming i'm running the latest version.
Hi , I'm looking for main.h file which is required to build the https://github.com/videgro/Ships since the main.h file is imported during the android build. So if possible, kindly help us with requirement.
