short list from the top of my head:

1. HLTV scoreboot
2. Mopidy interaction
3. some sort of calendar
4. scrolling text
5. flashing text

right now the title don't update as it should, have to figure out why as similar modules (clock and wifi) work "fine"

some modules like gpmd and a hltv scorebot. would require a form of user input (gpmd requires a 1 time "pin" code) so we should have a plan for accepting user controll/input to the modules while the bar is running.

of the top of my head im thinking a cli app like what bspc is to bspcwm

when we connect to the https://github.com/MarshallOfSound/Google-Play-Music-Desktop-Player-UNOFFICIAL- the process jumps to about 70% cpu usage on 1 core the instance we connect to it so we should look it to if we ore doing something wrong.

the current host config lacks support for hooks as the schedulePassiveEffects and cancelPassiveEffects is not implemented yet, need to figure out what is expected to happen in those functions

if FIFO's are an danger in node we could drop the dependency if we wrote a socket parser and listen on the acpid socket, that should also give us more hardware data. But i would have to read up on acpi (not a bad thing :D)
