After added the package to my project and tried to import it, I got this error:

Could not find a declaration file for module 'graphql-introspection-filtering'. '/../../../graphql/node_modules/graphql-introspection-filtering/dist/index.js' implicitly has an 'any' type.
Try npm install @types/graphql-introspection-filtering if it exists or add a new declaration (.d.ts) file containing declare module 'graphql-introspection-filtering';

This is an awesome library. It would be beneficial to add some tests for broader adoption.

On this PR, ardatan/graphql-tools#3081 SchemaDirectiveVisitor has been removed. This make complicated to use Graphql-tools/utils in the latest version with your component.

The new way to declare directives is to use mapSchema. https://www.graphql-tools.com/docs/schema-directives#implementing-schema-directives

I'm in a situation where I need to make calls to async functions from the visitFieldIntrospection method, for a given directive, and I'm noticing that when I return a Promise<boolean> from the method, it does not filter the introspection query the way I intended.

Is there an existing workaround for this, or any plans to add support for handling promises, like this?
