netns-exporter's Issues

docker support

Add feature:

  • build proper docker image.
  • add example showing how to run the netns-exporter in docker.

New feature: monitor traffic router in openstack

As OpenStack User, i want monitor router traffic in namespace.
Currently, there no information related to router in OpenStack, so i write develop some function to show more information. This feature help OpenStack User monitor traffic inside router and more information about router's namespace
This feature included:

  • Get router name
  • Get IP address of device
  • Get current hostname

This function only develop for openstack, we can fork a separate branch and develop on it.

Netns-exporter works slow with hundreds of namespaces

We've tried to run netns-exporter on a host with ~1146 network namespaces.

Time spent by curl for waiting of data collection:

real	1m21.932s
user	0m0.009s
sys	0m0.052s

Netns-exporter consumes about 25% of one cpu time in kernel space.

That would be awesome to have stats collected in 10-12 seconds, if possible, without high cpu consumption (no more than one cpu).
