Should run in 1 second steps as it does on Linux. What the hell is doing Win32 here???

If the open card is a 8 the AI player has the first turn, which can be irritating to the human player. Thus mention it in the messages of the AI who has the first turn.

Show card count in messages in bold font because this information is more important than the turn, right beside it.

Maintain and show a highscore list

Implement a QStyledItemDelegate to center player images

Stop and hide counter ongame win/lost

Show server output if "at start" is checked doesnt work

Use gamestate's maumau count for better matching Win/Lost messageboxes in multiplayer mode

Qt can convert images, while the server sticks to PNG. If a player wants to use a non-PNG image, convert if the format is supported by Qt.

Sometimes NetMauMau crashes, and when I try to restart, I get this message:

"NetMauMau is already running!"

I try to kill all the processes, but it keeps giving me that message! Only when I restart it goes away.

When a Jack(J) is thrown and you have to pick between the 4 colours with the pop up window, it displays only a black or red bar instead of the pictures of spade,clubs,diamonds and hearts. The same thing happens when the opponent throws a Jack(J) and it should display these pictures below the thrown cards.

Disconnect destroys client, but server takes no notice of it.

Players without any picture should get one of 5 default pictures

Add a picture alternatively by dropping it onto the Serverdialog and onto the player name above "My cards"

Since the client apparently seems to be a total and complete failure (and I admit my strength surely is far away from UI design/usability), I'm considering to give up at least the client and offer to hand over the code to somebody who wants to create a usable client for the NetMauMau server.

It was originally developed as proof of concept, but since nobody was willing to write a client for the NetMauMau server, I tried to at least release this crap. Sorry 😢

If disconnecting from a multiplayer game, watching isn't possible in the next game.
I guess it is because of a failed reset in the server, not the client.

My proposal created from this tutorial:

Beep sound don't work on Linux. To keep both platforms similar, remove beep sound on Mau

• add suit/rank constructor to get a MessageBox with the card as image
• let ace/king/queen round box use it
• let rejected card box use it

At every show event reset focus to first suit if no suit is preset.

Set client proto version to 0.15

Use MACHINENAME environment variable as standard server alias for localhost on Win32
