It wasn't clear to me whether the tag name autosaves or if I was supposed to type the name before clicking "add friend". Could be helpful to have an explicit save button. Just an idea. Not sure how many other people feel the same as me.

Tag should be visible without hovering.

Maybe implement a length limit on tags?

Do you know a way to allow users to choose their own highlighting color? Even just a text field for custom CSS would suffice for the time being.

It would be nice to be able to select from maybe 32 different pre-selected colors (similar to how Github does with issue-label colors), in order to differentiate at a glance between different tagged users.

Is there a reason why hn-friends reloads the page after you hit the "Save" button? On a slower connection, this is a pain.
