there’s actually a specific “presentation” widget type for talks that i used for my personal site, i didn’t bother with it when worked on this site. Perhaps it’s now time to revive that section.
I’ll also look to see if there’s one that can repurposed into a News section

Once that's in place I'll add my IOOS DMAC presentation; and you can add your eScience presentation from a month ago.

Hey @yjcheong : This issue for adding your personal profile to the group website (we use issues to help us keep track of things). It also serves as a practice run for the GitHub fork--branch--pull request workflow (see here for reference).

Also make sure to master writing markdown as it will be handy here and other places, including on Slack.

Since around Nov 2022 we started to run into problems with hugo build hanging sometimes and not always. Cancel the stuck workflow and re-run the job usually resolves the problem.

This seems a widespread problem: gohugoio/hugo#8166
I won't have to look into this to try resolve this in the next few weeks, but want to open up this issue so that we can keep track of the problem.

We discussed "What we value in Echospace" in group meeting last week along with a review of our code of conduct.

@emiliom suggested that we should add it to our website. I think it's a good idea. Since I'll be organizing/consolidating the google doc list, I can take a stab at this and ask you to review.
