gauges's Issues

Oddities on first rqt_gauges plugin

The first rqt_gauges plugin window seems to always be labeled "Form" and the color bar on the gauge often doesn't show up. Subsequent gauges are OK.

Strangely, grepping for "Form" in the repo doesn't find anything.

Port Package to ROS2

Hello! I was looking at this package in order to have some more visual monitoring tools for an application and noticed that it is only available for ROS 1. Is it be part of your road-map to port this package to ROS2? From our side there is a motivation doing so, we could make a conjoined effort to improve this package and make it available for projects/applications that uses ROS 2.

Support for exporting qcgaugeswidget library?

Hello there! I'm currently developing a custom rqt panel, and I'd like to use the underlying qcgaugewidget library used in this package as a part of my panel. I have a working branch of this repo on my own machine w/ a modified version of CMakeLists.txt that would export the qcgaugeswidget library as a catkin library, which would make it a lot easier for me to use in my custom panel.

I was wondering if it would be possible to open up a PR and merge in this change? Otherwise, I can fork the repo but I figured it might be nice to modify the original repository in case anyone else wants to use the qcgaugewidget library in their own rqt applications as well.

rqt plugin

I would like to see a Python rqt plugin for this package, but I don't have time right now. A benefit of an rqt plugin would be that all of the gauges would be collected in one large window, and their configuration (size and alignment) would be adjustable.

One of the core ROS developers gave me some hints here:
ros-visualization/rqt_robot_plugins#115

If anybody wants to take this on, I would be grateful! (and add you as an author)
