I tried to install SciDAC libraries on a IBM BlueGene/Q (RedHat EL 6.2),
using qinstall and bgq.prf
I firstly installed QMP:
./qinstall bgq qmp 2.5.0
the installation of QMP was successful.
But the tentative of installing QIO:
./qinstall bgq qio 2.4.2
terminated with the following error:

checking if we can compile/link of a simple QMP C program... no
configure: error: Cannot compile/link a basic QMP C program!
Check QMP_CFLAGS, QMP_LDFLAGS, QMP_LIBS.
error: can't configure package

Note that I installed successfully QMP, QIO, QLA, QDP, QOPQDP
on a desktop running Mac OS X 10.11.3
and on a NeXtScale cluster (running CentOS 7.0)
using qinstall anf core2.prf.

I tried to install SciDAC on a cluster with KNL processor nodes.
To do this I used the knl-icc profile, customised only for what concerns the installation directory

After having successfully compiled QMP

I failed to compile QIO:
configure: error: Cannot compile/link a basic QMP C program!
Check QMP_CFLAGS, QMP_LDFLAGS, QMP_LIBS.
