First make a fork on GitHub and then clone the fork locally in git bash:

git clone [repo https link]

Then make a new branch:

git checkout -b feature

Then make and commit the changes:

git add .
git commit -m 'Fixed that bug, or added a bug'

Then push it to the remote repo:

git push origin feature

And then make a pull request to the feature branch on the main repo, and we will accept it.
