I think this is interesting to explore. Yes the current built-in logging is quite limited. Personally I have more experience with the ELK stack, and unsure if GELF will work out of the box, but it would probably?
As long as it is configurable, still allow custom implementations via node.js, and does not come with a lot of memory/CPU overhead I'm positive in adding support for widely used formats 👍🏼

I mean. At the end of the day, GELF is also just a JSON thrown against an endpoint.
But okay :)
Then I'll have a look at the next few days / weeks.
