Hey King,
I was just talking with Bill Richardson in KNES and when he did the export grades he got a number/100 (i.e. the weighted grade) in the csv file. In Grades > Settings > Org Unit Display Options > Student View Display Options the Grade scheme symbol was not selected. Once we selected Grade scheme symbol the export grades tool did indeed export the letter grade from the scheme.
This is not in the instructions, so not sure if it is a bug or something overlooked.
Thoughts?
Some courses have periods in the section number (e.g.: BIOL 601.02). The period is missing from the exported grades file.
Large classes take a long time to export. The indeterminate spinner provides insufficient feedback that grades are being downloaded.

I just tested another course (@ http://d2l-test1.ucalgary.ca/login):
W2014BIOL60102S01: BIOL 601.02 S01 — (Winter 2014) — Biochemistry II
Went to http://elearn.ucalgary.ca/desire2learn/grades-export in IE, Firefox and Chrome.
The tool works perfectly in IE.
It also works in Chrome, but in Firefox, it didn’t give me the file.

It looks like Inactive courses are also showing up in the Grades Export window.

As TA Full access, I was able to generate the file. See attached W2014CHEM201L03 Final Grade_TA Full access.csv
TA Grading only allows me to generate A file BUT when you open it, there are no grades. SeeW2014CHEM201L03 Final Grade_TAgrading only.csv
TA No grading role would give me the “An error occurred fetching information for the selected course. You might lack permissions to read class or grade information” message
The roles and permissions set up on Test are different than what’s in production, so it’s hard to compare.
However, would it be save to say that we only want Instructors to be able to download the file?
All other roles, including Instructor-RO and TA’s, will see the “lack of permission” error?
How about Course Administrators?
If a user chooses a course and a download link is presented, then clicks on a course for which they do not have permissions, the previous course's download link is still available and an error message for the current course is shown. This is confusing.
The courses list shows all enrollments for the current user. It should only show enrollments where the user's role is an instructor.
Instructors with lots of courses cannot see recent courses because of a condition in loadCourses
that restricts the number of fetched page result sets to 4.
Mapped courses are listed and exported as one whole course. Users need to be able to select specific sections and export each section individually.
Valence API version 1.4 is obsolete as of LMS 10.7.0. The API calls need to be updated, preferably to 1.14+.
The course code is not being parsed correctly.
A user that logs out and loses access is still able to select courses, but the courses section shows an unending spinner.
