command-execute's Issues

Pass new message as argument

I suggest allowing to pass the message as argument using some placeholder like $message or something. That's because I wanted to use bash to echo the text to a temp file then pass that temp file path to another program.

Windows dll

I'm not sure this is an issue, but in case this plugin works in Windows, would it be possible for you / anyone to upload the dll file?

Thanks in advance.

Compilation problem

Hi,

I was looking for something like this, as I want to externally call notify-send, to customize my pidgin notifications. However, the binary doesn't work for me (I have 64bit OS, Linux Mint 16). I tried to compile it myself, however it throws out a lot of html tagged garbage on the screen. I don't think it's the issue with my compiler, as I can easily compile simple 'hello world' ;)

Are you familiar with this compile issue?

execute command on chat room activity

Hello!

I am looking for a way to make pidgin turn off my screensaver on a message and your plugin works perfectly for this, except with chat rooms.
Would it be possible to have the plugin also react on chat room activity?

Execute command from selected text

It would be nice if I could select a text, right click and select a command to execute from the context menu. The command would receive the selected text as argument according to the configured command call. The plug-in would allow to register several commands to be executed from a selected text's context menu.

For example:
Label: "Translate to Portuguese"
Command-line: "firefox www.wordreference.com/enpt/$selection"

Then I would select a text in a conversation, right click, pick translate option and have the webpage opened.
