I have a TongFang laptop (GM5MP0W), which is experiencing issues with commit
015d1d1 (and up).

1. Keyboard backlight control stops working. If the keyboard was lit stays lit but I'm unable to control the brightness.
2. The performance Office/Game/Turbo Mode Switch stops responding. The feature itself was never working but the button work responding to key presses.

With the latest version I do get two fans detected (CPU and GPU) and they do seem to follow the "defaultFanProfiles". Although, I do get a message saying "Freezy", "Cool" and "Balanced" are not supported.

WMI methods and events match the ones you have listed maybe there is something more to it. I do notice the code seems to be hard-coded to use direct access rather than WMI so maybe the problem is with the EC register addresses. EC version is 1.16.09.00.

If there is anything I could contribute with to have this sorted out, please let me know.

With commit 015d1d1 but stopping "tccd", I get the backlight control back.
With commit b0d53f1 stopping "tccd" doesn't make any difference anymore.

since this is a platform WMI modules the location in kernel for such an interface would be kernel/drivers/platform/$ARCH,
for tuxedo then kernel/drivers/platform/x86 and not kernel/lib.
