pockit2's Issues

Tags list don't update automatically after adding a tag

Steps to reproduce bug,

  1. Open the Tags tab
  2. Tag an article/image with a new tag (not present on the list)
  3. Press save

Notice that the newly added tag is not present on the list. Even after syncing, closing and reopening the tag tab, the new tag doesn't appear.

The new tag only appears after restarting the app.

Working with LocalStorage blocks the app

When the app gets data from local storage app freezes. I "fixed" this with made script async few times ago and now I see that we should fix this completely. I don't know if we can fix this with WorkerScript. I will try

Automatic sync stuck in loop

When using automatic sync, the app gets stuck in a syncing loop:
First sync works as expected, but it keeps opening the sync dialogue (2x per second) and closes it immediately. Only way to get out is to press cancel (which is pretty hard, as the dialogue disappears very quickly).
I am using OTA 9.1 on a Nexus 7. Auto sync and download is enabled.

Create it.po

Please creates it.po so that I can translate Pockit in Italian. thank you for this app !!!

Sync doesn't sync Tags right

Tags in new Entries sync right, but in old Entries don't. Look at download_loop function in /PockIt/js/scripts.js. Only new and time-updated entries work

Pinephone

Can this be ported to the pinephone. Probably just needs arm64 port. Thanks

Don't include Pockit.pro.user file in the source tree

The Pockit.pro.user file is generated automatically on every developer's machine. It shouldn't be included in the source tree. I thought I had a pull request to remove it. But it is back again in the tree. Could you remove it pls?

Add delete to context menu within article list

The official client for android has Delete in addition to the options PockIt offers. It may appear this is not a big priblem but I somehow got into a situation that an article would only open in browser (it was a google search result if that suggests anything?) Consequently I had an article that could not be opened or archived forcing me back to android where I found the additional delete option.

No icon.

Installation from the Ubuntu Store has no icon. ".desktop" file in "/var/lib/snapd/desktop/applications" references an icon path, that does not exist.

No Xenial Version

Hi Turan,
it would be great if you could upload a xenial version of this to the openstore. UBports is going strong with a release candidate for 16.04 now available for all phones. You pockit client is the only app I use that is now available.
Should be easy to compile with 'clickable'. I try this out myself, but it would be great if you push it to the store to avoid confusion with more then one maintainer.
Cheers,
Michael

Completely crashes

In ubuntu 20.04 (and also 18.04), upon starting Pockit, it loads for a while then completely crashes, any workaround for this?
Cheers

Keep screen on while performing full sync

As you mentioned, that PockIt gets suspended during full sync which essentially pauses the sync. I would recommend (as a temporary measure) to keep the screen always on and inform the user that sync only happens when pockit is open and while the sync is screen in on would help.

There is an apparmor permission allowing apps to keep screen on if that helps.

First time syncing takes ages

I receive messages from users that syncing takes hours. For me, first time syncing for 20 items with 12mbps internet speed (on Bq Aquaris e4.5) takes only 5 minutes. Background tasks are not allowed by Ubuntu, so I can't move syncing to the background. If you have a suggestion please comment here.
