Flow Inpsector is an application based on web technologies to visualize network flows (Netflow, IPFIX).

• Python (tested with v2.7.1)

• Jinja2 (tested with v2.6) pip install Jinja2

• ujson (tested with 1.18) (optional but recommended) pip install ujson

• MongoDB (minimum requirement with v2.2)

• pymongo (tested with v2.0.1) pip install pymongo

• Python (tested with v2.7.1)
• Redis (tested with v2.4.3) pip install redis

• netaddr

You can choose between multiple backends for storing flow data. Additional requirements come from your choice of flow data backend. flow-inspector currently supports three backends:

• MongoDB
• MySQL
• Oracle

Depending on your backend you have the following additional requirements:

• MongoDB (minimum required: version 2.2)
• pymongo (minimum required: version 2.2) pip install pymongo

• MySQLdb (tested with v1.2.3) pip install mysql-python

• cx_oracle

• Copy /config.default.py to /config.py and edit settings
• Run /preprocess/preprocess.py to add flows to the database
• Run /app/app.py to start the web interface
