SafeAddress

SafeAddress is a VSTO AddIn for Microsoft Outlook 2013 or newer. It's purpose is to provide a visual warning in form of a small hint when it finds "unsafe" address among the recipients. Safe addresses are resolved based on host (e.g. everything after @)

There are two ways of modifying safe hosts:

  • Change property under key "safeDomain" in SafeAddress.dll.config file located in installation directory.
  • Add hosts from within Outlook application in SafeAddres AddIn Settings located inside Safe Address ribbon.

Hosts loaded from SafeAddress.dll.config file cannot be modified from SafeAddress Settings.

Task pane not closing in outlook2013 32bit

Bug occurs in new inspector.
When user inputs unsafe address first, after that inputs one that is safe and delete unsafe one before outlook resolves second one the task pane remains open and stops reacting to new address.

Count number of external recipients and warn user before sending.

  • Should be configurable in settings
  • If external recipients are in Bcc field then do not show confirmation window (by default)
  • If number of external recipients is more than defined by admin in config file (SafeAddress.dll.config) show confirmation dialog with warning.
