Using your tutorials I was able to create an extension that opens a pop-up in which an external html/php page is loaded. I’m now looking for a way to write something from the php page when I click an item on the page to the current browser tab. Is this possible? I was thinking of writing it to session storage after which a background script writes it to the tab, but this is only theory, I’m a newby at this and have no idea where to start unfortunately.

Do you have something like this laying around in the form of a tutorial?
