Hi Christoph,

Can you please help us collect information on these languages in order
to have them added? Here's our FAQ entry on the issue.

Did not find much useful for co (Corsican).
Same for tet (Tetum).

Acoli
ach
"Plural-Forms: nplurals=2; plural=(n > 1);\n"
matching file from pootle.locamotion.org and the vlc.po

The rest was found on unicode.org:

Chiga
cgg
one → n is 1;
other → everything else

Fulah (Peul, Fula ??? mentioned in the vlc.po)
ff
one → n within 0..2 and n is not 2;
other → everything else

Ganda
lg
one → n is 1;
other → everything else

Bumping this (I hope) - could someone look into these as a matter of urgency, especially Fulah? We've got a team joining who's already done a lot in that language.

Oh by the way, Corsican follows the same singular/plural pattern as Italian.

In Firefox localization, Plural form is (n != 1) for Fulah

ibrahimasarr avatar ibrahimasarr commented on September 17, 2024

Fula and Fulah are both used but I stick to FULAH for consistency.

Thanks Michael,
I merged my translations with the file (newest) sent by Christoph and now I
going to work off-line to complete VLC by September (ambitious)!
It would be a good thing to isolate those strings that will not be visible
to basic users so as to reduce workload. That's what I understood from the
'mini_vlc" project on the Locamotion Pootle server.
Maybe Christoph can take care of that.
Yes, I have already used the .po file on my computer to test translations.
That's what allowed me to make these
screenshotshttp://www.africanlocalisation.net/fr/category/image-galleries/screenshots/localised-applicationson
ANLOC website.
But not everybody can do that so it would be good if a release could only
contain user-essential strings.

Regards
Ibrahima
