The issues I am encountering with the TextTender repository revolve around the message retrieval and processing functionality. Despite following the provided instructions and configuring the config.json file correctly, the program does not seem to recognize any new messages.

I have carefully verified that the recipient's phone number in the config.json file matches the number I am sending messages to, ensuring there are no formatting errors. The recipient's details are correctly included in the RECIPIENTS section of the configuration file, with no extraneous characters or formatting discrepancies.

Upon further investigation, I have examined the MessageDatabase class, specifically the get_new_messages() and get_all_messages() functions. However, these functions do not appear to retrieve the new messages or all messages as expected. I have attempted to add print statements and debug the code, but I have no clue how to code, nor do I know what any of it means, therefore; I have not been able to identify any obvious issues.

I have considered the possibility that the iMessage reader or message retrieval component of the code may be the source of the problem. I have reviewed the code and documentation provided, but have not found any specific troubleshooting steps or configurations related to this aspect. I've also considered the permissions may be blocking the service from accessing my messages.

Overall, despite my efforts to correctly set up and utilize the TextTender repository, I have not been successful in getting the program to recognize and process the messages I send. I would greatly appreciate any further guidance or assistance in resolving these issues and making the autoresponder functionality work as intended.
