edit.tosdr.org's Issues

TODO: add advanced validation for import points

The current import:

  • import topics - 100%
  • import services - 90% (for some reasons some services are not validated)
  • import points : works but need to find a way to allow validation by binding services and topics through the JSON in order to keep previous work.

Current status: too tired to think of something. Will do that hopefully before midday.

rethink tagline

"The Internet's fine print, written for humans, not lawyers." -> how about "read by humans"? we don't write ToS or summaries thereof, we just read and rate. The goal is not that a user of our website understands what the original text contains, but that they can learn about the community's opinion about that original text is. There will obviously be quotes and as you read a ToS;DR review, you also get a bit of a summary of the actual ToS text, but summarizing is not the goal, reviewing is the goal.

UX: edit topic allows edit but not deletion

Not a big deal, but editing a topic should allow to delete it. Instead of having the delete button on the show page. Not important before Friday unless we can do it. Also we need to check if this apply to other show pages

Permit to click on site name

Permit to click to the name not only on the picture to go to the index.
I try first to click on ToS;DR and if i did someone else will do.

Watch for updated terms & warn user should be high priority

TOS and privacy policies change, unfortunately, so I want to make a strong plea for keeping track of the date of every Phoenix-project assessment of a TOS--and showing a warning like "OUTDATED" when a TOS has been updated more recently than the assessment/grade on Phoenix. Also you might link to paranoidpaul.com terms/privacy policy change pages. That way, users can see exactly what changed, immediately, even before the new terms have been reassessed and graded yet. (Maybe you could watch for changes at paranoidpaul.com as a way to trigger the "outdated" warning even.)

Keep up the good work!

Allow contributors to add services

It'd be a great thing if contributors could add services to review, so they aren't limited to predefined services when want to add a point. I don't know if this is already a work in progress, though.

Add some free software pod

Add some diaspora, mastodon instances in order to permit to user to choice their services.
Ask to chaton to do it.

Maybe an ai can be train to auto fill a template with all information ?
A taxonomy have be done with all kind of "features" can be find in TOS ?

[fix] navbar

make the data toggle when user is logged in otherwise allow user to log in/sign up
