this isnt the same behavior that i'm seeing. any chance you could send me some
more
information on this issue? what are you seeing? any chance you could include
the raw
text of a page (available from the Messaging app)?

thanks,

On the page view screen there's an ack status icon, an emboldened "Subj:" line
at the
top, then some tabulated data in the regular font size below it.

In this tabulated data the last line is "Subj: blahblah, Msg: blah blah",
repeating
the Subj line from the top (untruncated) and as much of Msg that follows.

I think I realise what this might be, though: perhaps my email->sms gateway is
adding
these "Subj:" and ", Msg:" strings to the SMS before klaxon receives it!

Damn. (It's ugly.)

Yeah, i think that's what's going on. who is your carrier, btw? There are a
couple of
similar hacks in place to deal with AT&T's gateway, but they are proving
insufficient. I've been debating two different approaches on this front.

1) choice of several "sms parsers" for turning an unformatted sms message into
a page
("simple", "go2mobile", etc)
2) a huge wad of configurable options so that users can configure it for their
needs.
(UI nightmare)

thoughts?

I've implemented the "separate parsers" option, and i'm looking for testers.
Care to
have a go at it?

I'll try to find a way for git-svn to upload my code as a branch, or i can make
it
available in git, if you'd like to have a look.
