Getting Started

  • Open the directory IntelliJ/MajorProjectv2 in JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA.
  • Run the Run Configuration called StartRoboCodeEngine. This will start the RobocodeEngine, download Tweets from 2 random users, serialise them and start the battle.

StartRobocodeEngine Run Configuration

Main Class: controller.startRobocode
VM Options: -Xmx1024M -DNOSECURITY=true -XX:+IgnoreUnrecognizedVMOptions "--add-opens=java.base/sun.net.www.protocol.jar=ALL-UNNAMED" "--add-opens=java.base/java.lang.reflect=ALL-UNNAMED" "--add-opens=java.desktop/sun.awt=ALL-UNNAMED"
Program Arguments: Leave Blank
Working Directory: *PATH_TO_YOUR_REPO*\IntelliJ\MajorProjectv2\robocode_master
Environment Variables: Leave Blank
Use Classpath of Module: MajorProjectv2
JRE: Default (9.0.1 - SDK of 'MajorProjectv2' module)

Navigation Collapse Animation

The animation when collapsing the navigation bar on page scroll is laggy. Needs replacing with a smooth transition of height and opacity.

Add Select Options To Change Axes On Simple Linear Regression

2 vertical lines of checkboxes for each possible variable. When you select one, the respective one disables in the other column so you can have same var on x and y axis. It will then update the data set with new data variables and transition graph.

Data Visualisation Data Sample Size Slider

Once the final Robocode data has been visualised in D3.JS. Add a HTML slider that incrememntally adds more data to the set and re-draws the graph to show how the sample size affects the results of the project.
