Inherited parent Property does not use (own) child definition

Initialization:

Clear[Parent, Child];
Needs["Classes`"];

Parent definition:

DeclareClass[Parent]
Begin["`Private`"];
object_Parent["property"] := 1;
object_Parent["property2"] := 2 + object["property"];
End[];

Child definition:

DeclareClass[Parent, Child]
Begin["`Private`"];
object_Child["property"] := 3;
End[];

If we now request Child[]["property2"] it returns 3, it would make more sense to me that it would return 5.
