Validators seem fixed as of now, and form "sends" but still delivering no results in the email notifications. The notifications send a 'zero' or a blank, no matter what was selected in the form when sent.

I am using the forms from within a theme. Here is how I did it with version 5.x.x.x.

Is there more information somewhere on how to do this?

I recently upgraded from pre 6, my forms show up on the frontend but are not listed to view or edit in the admin. They also don't send anymore.

I'd love to migrate some sites over to this plugin, but the lack of a widget is a bit of a deal breaker in a lot of situations. Is this something you'd prefer to see in an add-on or are there plans to add one at some point?

I have a site on which Custom Contact Forms is installed. I noticed an error message in a log file named error_log. I searched for the error message using Google, expecting to see discussions about it. Instead, the Google search results contained links to error_log files on live sites.

Specifically, I searched for this string:

Reading this log file, I can see the full server-side path to their files (user directory replaced here for privacy):

Now I know the full server-side path to their website files.

I think this can be resolved by setting server-side file permissions (of the error_log file) to something more restrictive. Maybe you can include a cautionary note in the plugin's installation instructions.

We would like this functionality. Could it be added somewhat easily? I really like this plugin but need captcha installed.

I can make the changes all good and I click the Save Changes button, but when I look at the form again it is not saved.
I saw someone saying to Replace all occurrences of /ccf/forms with ccf/forms in the form-manager.min.js file, but that does not work.

I understand that backwards compatibility was broken with V.6, but when rebuilding my forms across all of my websites I can no longer find a "file upload" option. This is an important feature for some of the websites where I am using this plugin - am I missing something or has it been disabled?

I can not save forms from the manage forms section. I create a form, click the 'save form' button, there is a momentary spin of the 'waiting' logo and nothing.
I've tried on two different wp sites, tried disabling all the other plugins, and still nothing
Any help? At the moment the plugin is useless for me.

Hi,

After updating the plugin and database, we were able to retrieve some of the old forms on our site. However, when I tried to edit the form, it only saves in the Manage Forms window. The form does not update in the preview mode or in the actual post.

A second issue I notice is that if I create a new form from the dashboard (not in a post), it will be saved as "Scheduled" instead of Published. Therefore, when I start a new post and try to add the form, it will not show up in the existing forms list.

Then I tried creating a new form in the post, I can't drag and drop the field into the form.

Could you please let me know why any of these might have happened, any suggestion to fix?

This is on WP 4.0.1. I updated CCF to version 6.3.2. Sorry for the long post, I really want this to work as so far it's the best form plugin we have found.

We installed another plug in on the server as well called formatable. It is a quick form plug in. That is all that I can recall that has changed and now all of our Custom Forms are gone and only the short code on the page remains. Any clue? Thank you in advance for the help.

The CAPTCHA disappears sometimes, and then the form can't be submitted because it's a required field. Sometimes a refresh of the page is needed but that doesn't work all the time.

My Custom Contact Form Plugin stopped emailing notifications a couple of months ago, perhaps after a recent upgrade. I have seen an option to update the database and did execute that option after a recent upgrade. Still, am not receive email notifications using wordpress default option.

Just updated plugin & recreated forms. Our simple Contact form is working perfectly. The "request bid" form, where the user can upload a pdf, jpg, gif, or png LOOKS like it's uploading the file, but the email is received with all info except the attachment. No errors appear and the form looks like it all has all worked perfectly. what am I doing wrong?

Allowing form fields to be grouped into fieldsets would make it much easier to style forms and would generally provide more semantic logical groupings for complex forms.

A customer of mine uses the custom-contact-forms plugin. He came to me with an issue in exporting a form (fill in an id, and hit Export). Because it contains newline characters (users can add them in the custom fields), Excel does not format the CSV as expected. Instead of showing each record on a line, some records are shown on more lines because of the newlines added by users filling in the form.

I solved this in modules/export/custom-contact-forms-export.php

This is all I'm seeing on my forms and form creation after recently updating to Version 6.3.2.

Any assistance ASAP would be appreciated.

Since the update the drop down/radios/check boxes menus do not function correctly. When I reset the dropdown it shows up on the form completely open. I could live with that if it worked. When you make the dropdown a required item it does not recognize that you have made a choice when you try to submit the email. It keeps telling you that you have to make a choice when a choice has been made. Another issue that I ran across is when you add the "phone" option from the special fields list. When submitting an email, if you added the - to the phone number the form gives an error that says there is to many numbers. Not a huge issue as I just used the Text Line option. Finally, is it possible to specify the font color in the message box. It is printing black and in my theme the box is brown so it barely shows up for the user. Strangely the text in all the other boxes are white.

hi, i created a wp site for a friend, and about 2 years ago i set up a custom contact form for her on a page of the site.

everything was fine until about 2 months when the form just disappeared from the page. I literally haven't done anything to the site or even gone into the admin area for over a year, so i've changed nothing on the site that could have done this.

i have just now updated to the latest wp version and to the latest custom contact form version, but the form is still not showing.

can you please tell me where i can find my old form (can't find it anywhere) and how do i get it to show on the page again?

I keep being asked to update, I update, I get taken to a page with what could be arabic writing and then I go back and then it asks me to update again. So I'm not sure what to do to fix this, thanks!!

UNABLE TO "INSERT FORM" FROM "ADD FORM"

I am utilizing a Visual Composer and "CustomContact Form" does not come up on options for "Add an Element".

I reverted to classic text mode and saw the "Add Form" tab per instructions. Unfortunately, nothing comes into the page after I "Insert into Post'.

If I need to add the php per instructions, I surely do not know where.

Please help. (My client is unable to take registrations after hitting the front page of the local newspaper.)

Since upgrading to latest version the ReCaptcha has stopped working.
The new plugin doesn't appear to have a recaptcha option anymore.
Can this please be re-added asap

Hi there, the plugin is great and easy to use. However, when I press "Save" the activity indicator spins and disappears as if its saving. Then I close the create form window and no form has been created. The same thing happens if I try to create a form from a post.

Please let me know soon! I'm working on a site for a client and I'd prefer to use your form but I'll have to move on to a new option if I don't find a solution for this.

Won't the <% %> tag notation conflict with hosting environments that have ASP-tags enabled? This is likely a minority, but enough to cause problems.

Been trying to saving forms on my website from update.

I am getting a 404 on the json request.

This might also be part of Issue #22.

The Add Media button appears with the Visual Composer for WordPress editor but does not add the form.

It's great that the plugin allows you to specify custom CSS classes for each field, but because these classes are applied directly to the input tags themselves it is not possible to have CSS that targets the label or container. If the custom classes were applied to the parent container div instead, then CSS could be used to target the container, the label, and the input tag as well.

the SMTP encryption setting apparently does not do anything. This breaks form submission when I set the port to 465 as PHPMailer will talk plaintext to a server expecting encrypted content.

In any case, see http://wordpress.org/support/topic/bugfix-for-smtp-feature for a bugfix. As a temporary fix, affected users can prefix the SMTP host name with "ssl://" or "tls://".

The updated version works well for us now.

What we miss from the old version was the field option(?) where we can leave field descriptions or instructions. We are using CCF for an application form which have some long instruction for a field. Before, with the "popup" field instruction, the length is not a problem. In the new version, however, we have nowhere to put it, the placeholder text doesn't offer enough space. The long message is cut off and users will not be able to to see the full instruction.

Could you perhaps look into this please? Maybe bring back the popup field option?

Hello, I created a contact form with several fields. Now I want to add more, but after I 'save form', they don't show up. Is there a limit to the number of fields in a form? If not, why can't I save additional fields? Thanks for any help!

I deleted a field. The new form is showing 1 fewer field, so I can tell the change was saved. However, the old form is still showing on the website. I've cleared my cache and checked on another computer. Please advise.

I get emailed the form contents, but after the swirl beside the submit button goes, the form just remains, and no text is shown, and the redirect doesn't work either.

I have followed your setup instructions for installation. However, after dragging and populating the fields, the 'insert into post' is never visible to finalize and install the contact form. Is a troubleshooter process available?

The one thing that I'm seeing on a fresh installation is a database error after installing the plugin.

Table 'database-name.wp_customcontactforms_forms' doesn't exist related to SELECT * FROM wp_customcontactforms_forms

Looks like this has something to do with the old custom database tables from the original plugin, but I'm not sure? Anyway, keep up the great work on this and let me know if there's anything I can do to help debug.

Edit: Checked this against both the wp.org and the github version and the issue is present in both.

Please include a captcha option for a form. We can't use the plug-in without this ability.

The TinyMCE area can easily become cluttered and I want to provide an alternative way to insert the form. I want to provide a more consistent UI experience for those that use my custom plugin. I'd also rather not have to field any questions specific to the TinyMCE functionality you've added. Thanks for your time and consideration!

I have a field with three checkboxes. When I have it set as a requirement that the submitter must choose at least one, upon submitting the form, it thinks that the data is missing and won't submit. If I turn off the requirement, the submission will go through, but the field is empty in the submission form for any amount of boxes checked. This field was working until I updated to version 6.4.1.

Hi,

After upgrading the database, we have many duplicated submissions on some forms. We'd like to clean up the duplicated entries and also remove the ones that we created as a test.

However, the delete button doesn't seem to work. It didn't do anything after I clicked on it. The "eye" button next to it works perfectly, showing the submissions without any issue.

Could you please give us some suggestion to why this is and how to fix it?

Attach button, Save button etc not working in Wordpress 3.5.2.

I have been using CCF for several years and the latest update broke several features I made use of.

Firstly, and most importantly for me, something that I found very useful was that the emails I received from form submissions had the email address the person had submitted into the form already in the From field. Now the emails all come from Wordpress@(MYWEBSITE).com and I will have to copy the email address from the body of the message in order to reply to people.

The titles of all the fields in the emails I receive now come from the Slug instead of the easy to understand Label

There is no longer any way to customise the Subject of the email notification

There doesn't seem to be an easy way to customise the look of the form, my old form was styled to fit with the colours of my website and now it is just a bunch of boring grey boxes. In addition - the little help tool tips that used to pop up when people clicked a field to fill it in have gone with no way to add them. And there is no longer a way to customise the text that pops up next to required fields when they are missed (It says "Please Fill Out This Field" which is too American for my tastes!)

The slightly more spaced out way of displaying the form in an email is good in some ways - but it just doesn't look as nice as the old one, it'd be good to be able to customise the formatting of the email - especially as clients will see how it looks to me when I reply to them.

I have seen Custom Contact Forms version 5.1.0.5 on the Wordpress plugin library and would like to ask if it is compatible with Wordpress version 4.1

Alternatively is the current source code compatible and suitable for production use?
