bench's Introduction

Iโ€™m a Senior Software Engineer at @Zendesk in Copenhagen where I work with on the Foundation Ruby team on all things Ruby and Rails!

I share my personal research and discoveries here on Github and on my blog. I enjoy working with web technologies, machine learning, robotics, and team/work management.

I actively share on my blog at thomascountz.com and on twitter @thomascountz.

bench's Issues

Exact timestamp on hover

The relative timestamps are nice (e.g. "Created: 36 minutes ago"), but it would be nice to also see the precise timestamp, like on Github. (See screenshot).

Private repos

Right now, you can only enter public Github links. It would be great to be able to link to private repos as well.

Pin/Favorite documents

It's not exactly clear how documents are sorted, but I'd like to start/favorite some of them so that they always appear at the top of the list.

Include createdAt in document list

It's not clear how the documents are sorted, but they appear to be sorted based on when they are created. It would be nice to know explicitly when a document was created when looking at the list.

Export/Import

I'd love to be able to export the JSON from IndexDB and also upload the exported file back into Bench. That way, I can keep a backup.

Also, I'd love to be able to export as markdown with the code blocks and notes together in the document.

Markdown links in editor

Currently, the only way I can seem to make a link in the editor is if I paste a link on top of text I've already written. It would be great if I could just use the [title](link) markdown syntax.

Also, when you create a link by pasting, you have to create a new line, add a space, and then backspace back to the link in order to exit from it.

Publish/Share

It would be really amazing to be able to publish or share documents with others publicly.
